Hi Guys and girls

I am helping to host a bodybuilding show in Sept this year and I need some help from guys that have been involved with a hosting a show etc etc etc.
Please any assistance is welcome. This is the first show in the town and I want to make it a success so that people will enjoy it and come to future shows and also that the athletes will come back.

We are working on sponsors. Will most likely be local guys, but thats good and on the way ther.
We have got a venue.
We have a caterer for the half time break, judges and sponsors food.
We wil get n tuckshop for the spectators for the half time break.
We are working on trophies.
We still need sound guys and lighting is really a problem as I am not sure if the lights in the top would be enough. U want the best lighting for the guys on stage.

We will have cash prizes for the overall winner and ladies bikini winner. Depending on how big the classes are.
Hopefully alot of people.
So, any suggestions or guys that can help would be appreciated.

Regards

Ah damn I see...the reason I asked is my dad is quite a clued up sonudguy & he would have a lot of contacts in the whole stage setup department...anyhow, we're from pe bro...

Goodluck with everything though, maybe call some of the other federations' organisers and asked who they used?

Um, just a question, why did u come to this site if ur gonna critisise ppl for juicing? There are plenty guys that do cycles without understanding what each compound does exactly, how compounds can be stacked together to work in synergy etc...which is what this site aims to do. Anyways no one said u have to compete if u juice and vice versa, its a personal decision. Just because there may be some members who dont currently compete, they may be be planning to one day

Bump Sting, and not everyone has the genetics to compete, but are still looking to improve their physiques beyond what their genetics dictate.

shit every thread i've read tonight this oke is stirring something up... trot along to a bodybuilding forum and keep your opinion to yourself, you sound like a child whining or a stuck record, if people want to juice its their choice, you are p@ssing in the wind if you think your tantrum is going to make anyone listen to you.

I haven't started my first cycle yet but seeing as i have different reasons for it, other than competeing should i listen to you and not do it? Consider that, think on it before you fire back a dumb comment. My body, my choice.

To you it may look like I just did a push-up... But in fact, I just bench-pressed the world.

Fuck Rompel why are you so hostile. Who pissed on your toes this morning. Just chill and be patient answers will come, and the guys here have a mutual respect for one another. If you dont have it the rather not say anything further.

Dear sir it is you that gives anabolics a bad name for being short tempered and disrespectful. Not the guys on this forum that doesn't want to compete. I don't want to compete for one but i chose the lifestyle as personal enhancement.

Good luck to you and your future comps and may you succeed in what you are doing but keep negative criticism to yourself. There is no space for this kind of behavior.

If I look at where you're "after" pic was taken you should not be having problems with good advice to organise a show?

Have you tought of asking guys in the neighbouring town for some help - they host a succesfull event yearly if I'm not mistaken. (Welkom Classic)

I was at the Welkom Classic ,my gf competed ther. Its a different federation. I feel they made some bad mistakes at the show. That show has been going on for ages, i dnt see how they can screw it up.
But,overall it was a good show. Ppl sat down, watched, left. They always finish so late, the backstage manager struggles with the competitors and he has helpers, that dnt help much.

I just thought u guys would have ideas, its ok. I will ask more with ppl i know.
Thanks lsj

hey romp
the lights u should normaly have is the standup ones which u put infront off the stage shining directly on the athletes!5 will be enough because do much lights will also take away the athletes striations and lines.guest poser is not nec unless you get someone who wont charge u and will entertain the crowd as a big name bodybuilder will attract more spectators!the backstage manager with his helpers should be in charge otherwise the athletes will just cause unesesary problems.eg let them know when their lineups come up as u will always get everyone tanning up even thoug they only come up 1 hour later!the evening show it is standerd to let the top 6 go through doing their routines otherwise the show will become to long and people will start get iratated before the overalls.also with the music the athletes gonna pose on,let them give it in at weigh in with their name lineup and athlete number!
this is my personal experience on being a competitor, judge and comitee member!
good luck and all the best with the show!

Knowlege is power!
Humbleness will bring you far!
To only way to know that you are a bodybuilder is when u step on stage!
