What about the new iPhone 4? It's by far the best option for internet and no other mobile browser comes close to Safari 5... The email app you get standard on the phone used to be less good than the blackberry, but the new iOS 4 improved that allot as well. I surf the internet daily on it and have not seen a single website that will not load perfectly... except for flash websites, but that is because Apple and Flash had a pissing fight awhile ago.

It's very expensive though and I'm not sure when vodacom will bring it to SA and vodacom is the only network that sells the iPhone in SA anyway, so options there will be limited.

I have the iPhone 3G and will not even consider changing to anything other than an iPhone.

The iPhone 4 - 16Gb is going for R8,536.76 and the 32Gb for R10,286.32 at eXpansys.

the iPhone looks F#cking sweet. Only thing that is no qwerty board. Dont like the touch screen thing, scratches to easy. Other than that everything u need.

Wonder what contracts it will come out on.

Currently looking at blackberry and samsung.

Not at all bro. The screen is covered by glass and doesn't scratch at all. It's not a soft screen like some blackberries. The older ones had a plastic back and that scratched very easily, but the new one has glass front and back with stainless steel unibody and it's stronger than one would expect.

Thats nice to hear, Excellent improvement on quality then.

My current phone "nokia 5800" is only 6 months old and i can barely see the sreen any more, to many scratch marks.

Blackberry 9700 Bold

Got it 2 weeks ago, and will never ever ever... get anything else.

Been through the Touch Screen thingy and it just wasn't for me!!
I thought the qwerty keyboard on the 9700 would be too small for my porky fingers, but not the case at all!!

60 bucks per months gives you Blackberry network availability. This includes Blackberry chat, Internet Browsing, E-mail account (Gmail, Yahoo, Vodamail), Google Chat. Just note you do pay for very large file transfers, movie downloads and stuff like that.

Compare phones you like at www.gsmarena.com

Blackberry.... Got one a year ago and will never look back. Gr8 for e-mails and allthough browsing on iPhone is better because of screen size the Blackberry have allways served me well. 3 of my friends have iPhones and all have been in for one reason or another.

Ended up in Karoo two weeks ago and it was freezing cold - the two guys with iPhones were both completely out of action as their touch screens were not functioning in the cold.
