LBM dont mean shit was created by Deadgoat
Skinny guy vs fat guy same LBM everything else being equal, who'd you expect to be stronger? And I dont want to hear "well the skinny guy can do more chins", I'm talkin about the big 3 lifts.

And bleeding your cousin would be stronger than a skinny guy with his LBM, as weak as he is.

Sorry guys Apparently it is true, cause its happened to certain people already, so I’m not taking any chances !!

It's all genetics when it comes to strength son. Nothing to do with lean body mass. Either you're strong or you're not. You're born with it. Simple as that.

If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.

I hate that line of arguement, why even bother lifting if you gonna say genetics determine if you're strong or not

You can improve your strength and size. Just saying, overall you're born with it. You get guys that are just naturally strong.

I guess this all depends on your goals as well.

If you want to be strong for powerlifting or weight lifting then LBM means allot, because you really don't want too much fat because then you will fall into another weight devision.

But if you only want to be strong so that you can donner guys on the street, being fat is probably better...

LBM should be desired negligent.... Who wants to be fat, shows a lack of commitment!
Iam a powerlifter and have never gone to a comp without generally having the lowest BF% on the floor> Strength comes down to geneticts, training and diet> and the fatty's don't win every time;) so ya i guess it does mean shit but really should be taken into consideration! Look your best peeps;)

Peace

there is a major difference in the diet powerlifter of 30% bf and 100kgs lbm and a guy with 6% keeping abs and 100kgs lbm, a guy with 30% bf will eat more carbs and fats supplying more energy and being able to lift or push heavier, also the additional bf can help with momentum in lifts.... but look at it this way, world strongest man, some guys are ripped, some guys are massive, they all lift the same weights, the ripped guys are quicker in the end...also goes on how u train to get where u wanna be..

Im gonna throw my weight behind the nerd here... Training, genetics and diet affect strength... not bodyfat. Oh and of course JUICE!

I've been down to contest level and i'll tell you its not fun, that is the only time that bodyfat affects strength IMO.
At anything higher than contest level BF i'd say its more the composition of the diet thats making the difference

Um, but im scared of needles...
