looking to import to products from the USA to distribute to the south African public - would like to now if i have to register the product with the south African health department before importing and distributing the products?

The products have already been FDA approved in the United States.

Any feedback will be much appreciated.

Health Department will be only one of your trouble's. VERY important to first find out what are they going to tax you - it might range from allmost nothing to 100% and there is no real guide (that I know of) to determine what they will tax you. I also know that allthough the FDA makes our MCC look small it does not mean that the MCC will allow a product just because it wat approved by the FDA. Hope it helps!

Are we talking about pharmaceuticals? If we are then there is no way that you will be able to import it legally. Don't even bother trying.

And I guarantee that half your stuff will be stolen when it arrives here. When I got back to SA I tried bringing in stuff for my personal use and every time the whole package went missing. Whilst overseas the supplier I used never once failed so the problem was here. I gave up and found it much much better ,easier and safer to use the local grocer. And I don't get to lose all my fucking money every time I order something :)

MCC - Medical Control Council

They might even see prohormones as contraband... you seem to want go to a lot of trouble to get something very specific imported? Is'nt there an alternative in SA market?

Endomorph call Customs and Excise they will give you all the info you need. Just some advise though first order some stuff and get it sent to you, you will then be able to gauge whether it is feasible or not . I ordered juice and separately supplements - EVERYTHING got stolen once it landed here. It's easy for thieves at the SA postal service to sell your stuff or nice to use for themselves it seems. The only alternative to make sure you get your stuff is to have it sent with DHL or FEDEX, but you will shit bricks when you see the prices those mofo's charge.
