Yo

If any of you have time listen to this pod cast

www.pod702.co.za/podcast/bestofredi/20110530BESTREDI.mp3

It really upsets me and I would love to have challenged this 'doctor' on Radio and it's a pitty that he didn't stay on for questions as I would have phoned in...

But it really upsets me the stupid things they say, also the schedule on steroids which is a lie, and all these long term effects yet they don't have any research to determine it.. so it's all hear say... really got my patnies in a twist when I heard it and the lady taking notes, she is just BLOWN how bad it is, 8 kgs in a few months, stretch marks and gyno!!! oh no!!! what ever are we going to do...

Sorry, just really ticks me off when people come on and you hear a 1 sided comment from someone and no one there to challenge the discussion.

I feel you pump. It bugs the life out of me when i here the uneducated or inexperienced talking about something of which they know very little. Sure there is a problem with steroids in our generation, but the PROBLEM lies in a lack of knowledge and the resultant unsafe, misguided use.

I also get that with my profession, where someone who has never been to a chiro hears from someone who heard from someone who went to a chiro and got messed up, and then they start preaching anti chiro talk... Or Dr's from the stoneage who diss it based on no experience or science. But hey, thats a part of life, just stand up for what you believe in and fuck the rest of the ignorant bastards

Um, but im scared of needles...

8 or 10 kilos in a few months.. i want what they are on.. Shit that is a frustrating listen :/ really misinformed on a load of aspects.. i do see the school boy side. A large portion of my old highschools current matrics down to grade 11 pop dbol anavar and super anadrol like smarties.. but still there is no reason to blow it out of proportion and create such a negative image for steroids over all because of a few thick kids who got renal failure now it is every steroid users fault..

Imo there is a negative way to use steroids which happens to also be the most common way steroids are used, steroids will always be used regardless of tests and laws, why let school boys hurt themselves on a topic they dont want to talk about and cant ask for info on? rather educate them on steroids correctly, but not through propoganda bull like this.

*oh and school boys on growth? please...

To you it may look like I just did a push-up... But in fact, I just bench-pressed the world.

if use is as rife as they say and there are as many AAS users, then its only time before these ignorant bastards' voices are drowned out.

Yep. Education is key... Imagine trying to eradicate HIV by simply telling people not to have sex?? No good, educate them about it, teach them safe practise etc.

Was this brought on by the article in this weeks Sunday Times? Steroids have a very negative stigma attached to it, unfortunately only the ignorant fools are the ones that get heard. If 702 wanted to provide an unbiased view, they should let both sides of the argument be discussed.

Yes education is the best..

Fact is no, I wouldn't want my child on steroids, but don't go and misguide people.. I have read countless of threads on hGH and cancer and everyone has an opinion, bottom line is its not clear cut and dry, and professors are arguing among each other, so end of the day if you don't have the data to 'prove' it rather then don't make a statement... Again, until there is proof that says 8iu of hGH a day for a period of XYZ can increase your risk of cancer by ABC % then yes, until then, just because you have a point of view, that isn't necesarly the truth rather give an educated response..

Goodness, how many supplements on the market that you can get from dischem contain any banned substances, he rates 25% ? Please, it's long gone that the products that actually worked with the DHEA and prohormones, etc have been removed quite some time back...

Yes I don't believe in complete supplementation for school kids, I don't feel that Glutamine, BCAA or Whey / Casein is a problem.. I wouldn't like my child being on creatine at such a young age until all his organs have fully developed ...

However the fact of the matter is, they are being 'forced' into using steroids due to other schools using gear and having a competitive edge on the game.. However just for the record I know of a rugby player at Pretoria High stating that so many of his friends at the school are using, so yay lets all congratulate them for returning negative yet its simple they never tested the guys who are on.. So don't make out like wow, look how great out school is.. Every school in the world has boys and girls, who drink, smoke, take drugs (weed at least) and take steroids..

Now the thing parents should be worried about is kids using hardcore drugs, for example I played a set at 'Truth' some time back, and what do you know, a bunch of little kids (thousands to be precise) all buzzing their heads off on some or other hardcore drug, sucking on lollies.. This is where the problem is, and this is what we need to tackle..

I honestly feel the attention is being drawn to the wrong person, and its of the truth that all top athletes regardless of their sport use some or other edge, whether it be EPO, Steroids, hGH, or some or other peptide, SARM, etc...

We have one guy who 'killed' himself that was on cart blanche and all the evidence pointed due to him being on 'steroids' so depression, etc...

Please tell me any of you that took steroids in your teens (I for one did / not proud of it and wished I never) however, that being said ever suffered from depression, you bodies hormones are in overdrive, normally in your teens you don't even need PCT (not that I recommend not doing it) however, you just recovery great and I cannot think of this depression and as for the discussion on rage, its like saying to Joe Soap, listening i'm giving you this tablet, its not even on the market its the coolest thing, when you take it you going to feel so happy, just wait, give it around 30 min to kick in... So I give Joe a jelly baby and what do you know 30 minutes later Joe is in his/her element...

The same is true about steroids, every single statement is steroids give you rage, etc.. No... what you have done is just planted a seed in someones mind saying when you take steroids you going to get this rage you going to be aggressive, etc.. So what happens is, that filters into our sub conscious mind and end of the day we start feeling aggressive just 'moments' after injecting a long ester.. (junk!)

I'm saying gear doesn't cause rage as I personally experience it, but I know countless people on gear and all are as placid and happy as a kid in a candy store.. So don't make a general statement like that. The same is gyno, bar me and a few others on the forum, how many every have had gyno issues? not many.. but no this is the tell tale sign, so parents make sure you stare at your kids nipples, lets forget about puberty gyno and if you see something wrong, your childs on steroids.. be afraid very very afraid!

Junk...

*Thread Hijack Off*

If this is happening so frequently in schools, they should find out who is putting these unnecessary expectations on kids that are still growing.

I think thats it's all got to do with society and television putting pressure on out youth to perform especially when size and strength are rewarded eg.) Rugby.

I mean comom you hear rugby commentators sometimes talking about rugby players like you hear commentators commentating on a wrestling match in the WWE.

I feel personally aswell that especially at high school there is pressure on boys to look big and muscular like never before. Even if they don't play rugby.

You guys might think I'm crazy, but i know how to achieve greatness.

Well i can talk from experience coz when i was playing rugby right from when i was like 6yrs old. I was always to small, never got picked coz i wasnt big enough, i eventually got into craven week sides but when it came to under 20 i wasnt even looked at even though i was made craven week player of the tournament. I was deemed to small to play my position, but i had been playing that position my whole life now im not gonna make the side coz im to small.

If i knew about steroids back then to get bigger i would of taken them no problem. The sacrifice would of been well worth it to make the side and maybe make a name for myself!

No lets not deadlift as I need a double hip replacement haha

I have to admit I used to be one of those clueless morons who would talk shit about steroids, all based on stupid scaremongering stories I'd heard and never based on anything worthy.

Various things have enlightened me and I now also get just as irritated with the uneducated.

What I find just as bad though is parents asking me if its safe for their kids to take USN products because of the steroids?! WTF! In one sense it's not safe to take it because the product is shit but steroids??? Do they really think that the likes of PnP will just sell products with steroids on the shelves for everyone and anyone to buy.

I get those same questions for protein shakes, creatine, mass gainers - a part from the fact that their kids eat like shit in the first place and have no need for these products until they sort their nutrition out. Really? steroids? ok leaving this now as I'm getting myself worked up lol!

A really funny thing for me is, that the two largest and strongest schoolboy rugby players I have known, never juiced. The one weighing 116kg with a max bench of 170kg and the other oke weighing 125kg bencing 130 and 140 for reps, squatting 200 and deadlifting 220.

I know this for a FACT...

I think people believe too little in what is naturally achievable and is too quick to climb on the juice... And that is why use in schoolboys is so rampant.
