exertion headaches..dont know what to do

Hey guys i am new to the site, this is my first post.

Anyway my topic,3 months ago i went on a bulking diet and gained 5kg and became very strong,so i natuarally started really pushing heavy.While doing squats one afternoon as got to my failure set i got a sudden rush to my head.it felt like a migraine, ihad to stop training and leave,then it happened again each time i train to failure.

went to the neurologist,she had mri scans done,blood test and every test thinkable but she found nothing.she told me to stop traing as it is to much exertion:( .Anyone else has had this please advice i cant stop trining,its what we do.She gave me no explanation as to what causes it.Headaches are really painful , it blurrs my vision.please help guys.THANK YOU..

Are you running any ECA?

Could possibly be your breathing. As you said you are pushing heavy so it is quite possible you forget to breathe properly. Have someone watch your breathing on sets. Get enough air inbetween reps, not to rest but to get enough oxygen.... 2-3 Deep breaths should do you well.

Another possibility is BP. It is specifically related to high exertion sets which gets your blood pressure up.... have someone take your BP before and directly after the failure set, preferrably on the onset of the migraine.

With regard to excellence, it is not enough to know, but we must try to have and use it.

Hi Poisin,

Ceej, made some very valid suggestions.

I also had a similar problem 2 years ago when I did some really heavy bicep curls. On the very last rep of my last set, I pushed like hell and didn't breath out properly. I suddenly felt a popping sound at the back of my head close to my neck... it was painful as hell and I completely lost my balance and felt dizzy.

It turned out that I couldn't train for 2 months without having severe pain after my first rep.

Yeah admin ,i think you and ceej are right. it probably is the breathing.also got that popping feeling and its dammmm sore.

it comes down to a technique called the valsalva manouver,where you try to hold your breath and breath out at the same time inorder to push the weight,i googled it and found that many powerlifters and BB get it one time or another.And as you experienced admin ,they say lay of weights for about 2 months or longer:( .

On a positive note i trained just this morn but not to failure,concentrating on form and breathing and i never got the headache,but i am not pushing hard yet so i will see how it goes.

i used to get numb hands from doing squats and then i went to my mate who is a chiropracter...1times neck and spine adjustment and i have never had a problem again...

Hell, too scared to check :ohmy: , but other than the nosebleeds, headaches, kidney, liver, prostate, pissing, aggression, skin, and girlfriend problems I feel just fine... nothing to cause any indication of future health issues.

u must be gaining a lot of weight and power on that doses.

This cycle is a two in one cycle... initially I ran, Test E 1.5g, NPP, 560mg, Dianabol 50mg for bulking and I've experienced pretty good muscle and strength gains. Now the cycle is Test E 1.5g, Tren E 450mg with the stimulants mentioned elsewhere and a very restricted diet, so strength has gone down a bit, but muscle seems save so far. The problem will come during PCT and I'll surely have to use a low dose of Anavar to help save muscle.

This will be the last time that I run a long cycle, next year I will run a cycle every 25 days on 25 days off. I will start with 40mcg IGF1 R3 Long, Test Prop, Anavar and likely some Tren Ace. I'll likely increase the IGF dose very gradually with every cycle if I notice gains are going down...

PCT will be done in the 25 days I'm not cycling of course. The details have not been determined yet, but will discuss with doctari later, because he might do a similar thing...

I sometimes get that with Xplode or any other stimulants.

I reckon its heart rate and blood pressure..

Drinking loads of water and relaxing on the Xplode helped me a bit. I mix more water than I should with the Xplode..

I found if I didnt eat enough I felt this way too..
