if they relate it back to self inflicted damage then yes they do not pay same as with damage from drug abuse. don't let that stop you
doing roids is fun.

This is the only clause in my life insurance policy that applies:

Steroids would fall under: intentional consumption of drugs not prescribed by a registered medical practitioner.

So I recently signed up for life insurance, got the quote back yesterday...
and the f***nuts doubled my premium because of my very high BMI.

I feel like I am being discriminated against, because a BMI is no indication of how healty a person is. So basically they give annorexics discounts because of their low BMI???

that plus BMI puts people as overweight and obese very easily... heck I think most people on this forum would atleast fall into the overweight catagory...

anybody else got this shit from them?

I wouldnt stand for that, contact them and explain, get a bodyfat % worked out instead... there should be some way of getting passed that. Most of us on high would be overweight according to BMI

Um, but im scared of needles...

I had the same issue - doubled premium based on BMI. I ranted at my broker, who took it up with the head medical advisor for my life insurer. I went for an appointment with him, and he took one look at me before deciding to drop the penalty. The fact that he had a higher BF than me might have played a role

As spike says, just provide them a certified bodyfat test then everything is perfect after that...

If the ECA contains proper Ephedrine, it will pick it up in the blood test, they will test for nicotine and drugs. If the steroids kiled you then insurance wont pay up.

Hi all, so I am due to go for a medical for Life Insurance. One of the questions asked was if I take steroids, I said no. At this point in time I’m only on Male Hybrid Ripped which I guess is a hunger suppressant and a light oral. Would this be picked up in a medical or can I continue my course and not worry?

Are the testing you for drugs?
Detecting specific anabolics is not easy, and honestly too expensive for most people to give a fuck.

I would guess, should your T be really high, or LH and FSH off with high levels of T, maybe they would care or ask questions?

I would be very shocked if they did in depth testing but am interested to hear if anyone knows?
