Galaxy S2 is a powerhouse phone.. The new Sony phone being released this quarter will blow any phone on the Market, Dual Core 2Ghz + a 12 MegaPixel Camera, and you can't touch Sony's Camera quality.

Hey Koe, are those your only options? If so, galaxy S2 bud! Best of everything in a very lightweight package. My personal choice is the Blackberry 9900 Bold tho.

Wow great response, I am also leaning toward the S2 they have a deal where it comes with a Galaxy Tab at Vodacom.
I absolutely hate a BB, no offence but I bought the Torch for one of my businesses last year and after a day gave it to my wife she LOVES it. Free Internet, BBM etc, but its too slow for me. My primary use is email, browsing the forum ;) and lots of business calls. IPhone seems awesome but will soon be outdated by the IPhone 5 and my plhone is packing up, it seems just before your upgrade is due they start giving you shit.

I have that phone too, it's terrible, slow internet browsing, flapping between 3G and Edge.. Phone lags, terrible terrible terrible, and whats worse is you use what it has.. Even the camera is pretty crap.. This will be the last blackberry I ever buy...

I can't argue with that.. My upgrade is next month, and guess where my bb spent its last 7 weeks, at MTN, the camera didn't wanna open, the touch pad and all the buttons stopped working, got the phone back recently, and guess what, camera doesn't work still, and phone lags big time now, it was the base curve so I didn't have the highest expectations, I thought the new gen bb's would be better, I guess not then. Maybe I should try look at the S2 for my upgrade aswell, and keep my current curve for bbm and free browsing (saves me huge amounts every month)

i don't know what I am going to do when my upgrade comes but I can tell you I will definitely be jumping the blackberry ship.. this phone is a constant source of frustration.

Koe I had the Samsung galaxy S plus, it's just a bit slower and smaller screen than the s2 (same OS and version). I like the user friendly the samsung has. I now have the Iphone 4s for a few days and it's a really cool phone. But I must agree the galaxy does feel like plastic against the iphone. So I must say the stock features the iphone has is pretty kak, so downloading a few apps will make it good. I am still busy tweaking mine, will let you know in the next few days how it goes. But if I can vote I will say apple

i have the 4S, a close friend has the S2, so we switched phones for a weekend, let me tell you the differences...

Firstly, they both come in similar packaging.. and basically fuck apps!

the S2 has a bigger screen, its slimmer, and lighter (made of plastic)
the 4S has a 3.5in screen, and quiet heavy (made of metal)
i personally prefer the feel of the 4S in my hand

both have HD screens, although the S2 colours seem highly saturated when compared to the 4S. the 4S wins display hands down (eye retina display), S2 cant come close! its so damn realistic. So viewing pictures, and videos are much better on the 4S (with the exception of S2 having a bigger screen)

camera quality is brilliant on both phones, really difficult to say which is better.

when it comes to apps, whatever is available for the S2, is available for the 4S!
the only schlep with the 4S, you have to have iTunes, and a account (they ask for credit card details, although you could set it USA store and get a FREE account ;) )

the S2 has android! therefore modifying your phone to your liking is simple (theme's, live wallpapers etc etc...).
the 4S does not allow this, unless you jail break it!

wWith regards to receiving emails, its very quick, but also very costly to leave data services on all the time, as the 4S constantly checks iTunes for updates, if there are updates, it gets downloaded immediately. (same applies to S2)

not sure if thats going to help you make your decision!

oh, one more thing... its just awesome to have the apple logo facing people when you on a call :P

pain is just temporary...

Blackberry technology is old. Pointless getting a BB. Iphone or Android.

If u like apps and screwing around with your fone, rooting hacking and stuff like that, go Android (Galaxy S2). If you are happy with the fone the way it is go for the the iPhone. In the end it comes down to personal choice.

On a side not, have any of u seen the new Galaxy Note. Its like walking around with a tablet attached to your ear. That fone is huge

Very detailed thanks alot, I feel that you are right in terms of Apple being higher class phone :P
Just a question if you had to chose, would you keep the Apple or swap it for the S2?

If the other phone manufactureres came out with free internet and chat like bb , bb would be dead in the water in no time. All my mates are on bb so i am kind of stuck with it !!

the onlyk ka thing with these new smartphones is that is flimsy. if it falls it breaks. my frien has iphone. had to replace screen twice. 1500 a shot. that putts me off smartphones. i have had 4 sony phones an they just dont break. even if you drop them allot. i had 628, t62 k800i, x1. just last forever. but iphone is very cool

Lol, I have an Ipad2 awesome product I never use my laptop anymore at home.
It seems Apple is a clear choice should I want to synchronise my apps, folders etc. Can the 4s be jailbroken I have done it to my ipad and no problems?
