Joint ache with Norditropin was created by BigDave
I've been taking 2iu's of Norditropin before bed for a month now. I started with 1iu for a week and then increased to 2iu. When I bumped the dose to 2, the joint in my jaw started aching and disappeared when I stopped for a few days.

Is this normal? Should I have built up slower or am I just sensitive to HGH?

BigDave, why are you injecting the HGH before bed? Your natural release of HGH is diurnal, meaning twice a day - early mornings and during initial hours of deep sleep. So, timing is very crucial. The recommended administration of HGH is to split your dose into two, one in the early morning after waking and the other is after evening training (6pm). So if you are doing 2iu of Nordi, I would suggest splitting the dose 1iu in morning and 1iu in early evening. Also, sore joints are a common side effect as pump said. It can also be aggrevated if you are taking any DHT compounds like Winstrol, Anavar, Masteron etc.

But, 00pump... Why after your workout when you will have an insulin spike with your Post Workout Shake? From what i have read here... it needs to be an hour before a meal and an hour before a meal (Inbetween).
Please explain.

Give it a shot, you're only TESTing it...

I take HGH before bed to mimic the natural release of GH. By far the largest secretion of GH is the first few hours of sleep (the morning release is nominal). Which is why the body grows and regenerates during sleep, it's also the best time to burn fat, as you're in a fasting state, there is minimal insulin to oppose the fat buring effects of GH.

I follow Doctari's recommendation. He is a medical doctor who is an expert in medical sport science and is a competitive bodybuilder himself. He advises not to administer HGH just before bed due to the body's natural HGH spike during the first hours of sleep. Have a look at the thread I posted - he explains it there.

I doubt that during sleep is the best time to burn fat. I think it's quite the opposite as the body's metabolism slows down. Best fat burning would be during exercise.

Also your body can build up GH during an intense gym session, so it would be counter productive to use it prior to your training session, as they say it could be a hit and miss.

look at the end of the day there are many ways to skin a cat, everyone has their own opinions on this topic,i like using gh pre cardio first thing in the morning and then another hit in the day, alot of guys take it all in the morning... its all up to the individual,BUT i do how ever suggest that inbetween meals away from insulin spikes is the best option... George Farah recons post work out there is a GH release naturally, so i dont see why u want to counter act that, and also if you are getting a gh release during sleep then why inject to mimic natural patterns? lets look at this

wake up at 6:00 am, train at 10:00am(natural gh release post work out) then u go to bed at 9:00pm and then u get a release 45mins into sleep... why not inject first thing in the am where gh would be at its lowest, and then in the mid afternoon 3-4 before u go to bed? that means 3-4 gh releases in one day...much better than 1 single one? logic or not?

If you take 2-4+iu's of HGH in the morning, your endogenous release of GH at night will be negligible, as your body would seek to remain homeostasis and not produce any more more GH, due to the massive supra-physiological dose it received earlier in the day. Think about it this way, testosterone is diurnal, it's highest in the morning and late afternoon. If you were to take a large dose of Androxon (oral testosterone with a short half-life) in the morning, do you think you still experience a spike in your natural testosterone, later in the day, probably not. This is why PCT exists, if you replace your natural hormones with outside hormones your body stops producing the natural ones, in order to maintain balance.

Doctari's protocol is excellent, but it is aimed more at using HGH for muscle growth, with it's use of slin. The world's top anti-aging doctors, who specialise in growth hormone replacement, recommend taking HGH before bed, to replicate the circadian rhythm of GH.

I doubt that during sleep is the best time to burn fat. I think it's quite the opposite as the body's metabolism slows down. Best fat burning would be during exercise.

Let me rephase what i said earlier, during sleep is the best time to maximise the fat burning properties of HGH. Although the metabolism is slowed, your still burning calories (over +/- 8 hours), and as HGH directly metabolises fat in the absence of insulin, this is the best time to use it for this purpose.

But surely if you follow this rationale then it would be exactly the same taking the HGH before bed. In other words if you take HGH before bed the body will seek to remain in homeastasis and decrease or even inhibit the massive natural amount released during sleep. The optimum time to take HGH would therefore be at times of the day when natural HGH levels are at their lowest. This is how I understand it.

Bottom line is, until we see IGF results for different protocols it will nearly be impossible to know for sure.
