Anavar 20mg/day.... PCT?

Just about to finish an Anavar only cycle at 20mg/day 8 weeks course. Is it required to do PCT for such a low dose?

Rather curious to know how your gains where?

I doubt there was too much shut down , but hey I always like to be safe, run clomid and nolvadex, it's too cheap not too haha

My results were not impressive, if compared to a normal Test cycle. So if one was looking for great mass and strength gains, you would be disappointed.

However, my goals for this "mini" cycle was mainly experimentation as well as to see how it would help with muscle atrophy. At my age, 46, maintenance becomes important. I considered this cycle as a healthy alternative, kind on the liver, little or no HPTA effect.... Thus my low dose of 20mg/day. I mainly wanted to cut a bit and hopefully lose some fat. My mass before the cycle was 67kg. Currently my mass is at 70kg.(+3KG) I have leaned out a bit as well with a reduction in fat.(Numbers not known.) I have experienced a nice hardening effect and a good increase in strength. Motivation also increased. Little or no effect on libido/erection. I did however experience a small amount of hair loss. (Genetics also a factor with my hair loss)

I would describe it as a good value for money low impact maintenance cycle

Can one run an anavar cycle as this low dosage and for how long, with the aim of maintaining previous cycle gains?

Biological effects

Oxandrolone is widely used due to its exceptionally small level of androgenicity[citation needed] accompanied by moderate anabolic effect. Although oxandrolone is a 17-alpha alkylated steroid, its liver toxicity is very small as well. Studies have showed that a daily dose of 20 mg oxandrolone used in the course of 12 weeks had only a negligible impact on the increase of liver enzymes.[1][2] As a DHT derivative, oxandrolone does not aromatize (convert to estrogen, which causes gynecomastia or male breast tissue). It also does not significantly influence the body's normal testosterone production (HPTA axis) at low dosages (20 mg). When dosages are high, the human body reacts by reducing the production of LH (luteinizing hormone), thinking endogenous testosterone production is too high; this in turn eliminates further stimulation of Leydig cells in the testicles, causing testicular atrophy (shrinking). Oxandrolone used in a dose of 20 mg/day suppressed endogenous testosterone by 67% after 12 weeks of therapy.
