For a lean bulk whey will always be better as mass builders are loaded with maltodextrin that will spike your insulin and cause fat gain too.most of us here are not fans of massbuilders. Food and diet should always be priority whether bulking or cutting and no supp in the world can replace it. Use whey pre and post workout

The problem (for me) with mass builder is the protein to carb ratio. Sure we add dextrose to our whey shakes after a workout so essentially it is the same thing but to take a dosage that would give you say 40g of protein will give you probably way over a 100g of carbs. For most of us 30 to 60g of dextrose post workout is what we are looking for.

Conclusion is that it is better to make up your own post workout cocktail. That way you decide how much protein, carbs, glutamine ect you get in

Got to agree, I was looking to buy a protein/carb shake for post workout (my evox one almost being finished) and the ratio's of the mass builders where wonkey! Ended up ordering iso and dex from ondier!

As the guy above said: Whey protein (isolate is better but concentrate is fine) and dextrose. You can add 5g glutamine to that. My current post workout shake looks like this:

40g whey concentrate
40g carbs (56g on days i do major muscle groups)
5g whey
10g BCAA

1hr later i have a solid meal. You going to have to work out your macro requirements in order to gain. Check out the diet section. Ultimately its your total daily nutrition that will make you grow although your post workout nutrition is extremely important

You can get the above mentioned products from Ondier

Its all basic nutrition so it will be fine. If you struggle getting dextrose you can also buy maltodextrin at dischem. Its called pure carbs and is under the pro 10 brand.

Boet it all depends on your calorie intake, search for dieting 101, 102 or just google macro nutrients! To give you a better view I'll say that most people on here drink "shakes" as fillers just because eating so much is hard, so taking a pure whey or whey and carb shake would greatly depend on your diet! For gaining weight though it is suggested that a carb and protein meal or shake be taken after training to increase insulin levels. I'm new to all this myself but it pays doing some reading and research about it, go read why your body needs protein, carbs and fat. Then you will start to see the bigger picture!

There is no quick fix as Abc said follow DJ diet posted for you and I guarantee you will grow supplements are there to supplement what you are not getting enough of from the food. Put your parents hard earned money to the food and at your age your natural test levels are already high so you will grow like a weed. Now stop creating new threads on stuff that has been discussed at length already and be wise and apply your new found knowledge
