Sugar free protein was created by Station
Hi guys.Just wanted to know: How many whey protein supplements are there available with no sugar/carbs? I want to be a bit more strict with my diet.
I've tried Whey isolate by Pro10 labs from Dischem in the past which is just plain protein and I had to by the flavourant separately.I liked the supp but I hated the flavor(choc, yuck!)

Through my illness I learned rejection. I
was written off. That was the moment I
thought, Okay, game on. No prisoners.

Bud whey concentrate has trace carbs from lactose, 10g of carbs per 100g. Whey isolate has 2-3g per 100g but is incredibly costly. If u are u using a high quality whey concentrate from brands like ssn or nutritek u will be good to go. Those small amounts of carbs wont make to much difference when u are counting them into your daily calorie intake.

Pro-10 is in the process of being taken over by Dis-chem (Biogen), and sadly not all the products are being retained as is. There are countless sugar/ carb free options. Look for "raw" and "unflavoured" whey. As DJ said, just keep an eye out for purity when selecting protein powder and work it into your diet consciously. IE if you do end up with a whey with plenty carbs, subtract some of whatever glucose you use to spike insulin PWO. Most affordable options and biggest range still exists online IMO unless you know suppliers personally.

I have tried SPS ISO, which is virtually carb free but expensive (650 for 1.5kg) honestly didn't feel it justified it's expense over a decent whey concentrate.

For sure it ain't cheap, best bet is also to work out the cost per serving, with ISO a smaller serving size should still yield a similar amount of protein. Ie. 25g vs 30g.
