I have been using the Biogenic Whey premium, only know the this brand.
Which is a good value for money whey protein?

Biogen is CRAP it's USN with another label so you can only go up. Nutritech and Supps Sa Whey are probable the best value for money both are over 80% protien so pretty good.

Ok well I got ambushed by biogen guys at Dischem and they all wrote Nutritech off because of all the sweetners etc. Hahahahahaha I couldn't stop laughing.
So anyways I played it safe and just went with SSN. Thanks for the help guys.

If you are looking for whey without all the sweeteners and other crap. Go Look at BSSA. The way supplements are supposed to be, pure, raw Supplements

You got ambushed by the Biogen guys at Dischem because thats their job. Dischem owns Biogen so they pump sales of that product at the expense of products like Nutritech and SSN that are FAR better. So sad.

Compared to Nutritech this seems to compare favourably dude. A few comparisons even seem better with this product. Did notice the phenylalanine content in Nutritech is much lower which is a tick in favour of Nutritech.

Cost wise it also compares well. Looks like go for it dude.

if memory serves me correctly, nutritech was listed in dischem,in 4 stores on a trail basis, they were thrown out due to multiple complaints and come backs, and apparently didnt meet up to tests done on the products. this was from a dischem employee, so it could be hear say, but i heard a similar story being told in springbok pharmacy, i dont know if it was by employees or by shoppers.. i stand to be corrected and will happily retract this statement if nutritech posts on this topic stating otherwise, but not here to put a cat among the pigeons, but just expressing what i have heard.

personally i wouldnt purchase this product again, as much as the flavours stand out against any brand in this country i just dont like the product as i had similar adverse reactions.

I actually heard the exact same story form a friend who's a chemist at Dischem and about Them testing Nutritech and the product didn't meet their claims on the label so they pulled it!
I don't no but I'm quite happy with Supps SA at the moment.

Agreed.
My bottom line: At its cost per kg, Nutritech is the best on the market.

Hi Guys ,
I'm worried about using Nutritech, despite being of great value , i found this article about them :

July 29 2014 at 08:00am

Food labelling

Your competitor is always watching. Sports nutrition manufacturer NutriTech is in hot water after its competitor, USN filed a complaint with the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) over false nutritional information claims made on the company’s 100 percent pure whey product.

The labelling of NutriTech’s 100 percent pure whey makes incorrect and improper claims regarding the protein and carbohydrate content of the products, according to USN.

USN went to the extent of contracting an independent facility to conduct the nutritional profiling tests on a range of NutriTech’s products in order to verify the claims being made. Even after NutriTech agreed that its products were in fact incorrectly labelled and false, it still did not remove the products off the shelves.

A second round of tests showed that the same product with same misleading label was still on store shelves.

National sales director of USN Dormehl Gertenbach said this had been sent to ASA because it could have devastating effects for the supplement industry.

“Our concern here is that consumers are being unknowingly hoodwinked into purchasing a product that does not meet its basic label claims. With the industry being largely uncontrolled, a number of ‘cowboy’ brands and start-ups are trying to cash in, which means that… these practices appear to be the norm rather than exception.”
