halaal supplements

Hi all. im brand new to the forum... lol it literally took me like 10 min just to figure out how to start a new topic..

ok so im muslim, i did come across a thread that spoke about "halaal supplements"... i would just like to inform all that not all supplements are halaal, and that not only gelatine renders a product non halal..

many things from flavouring to even colourants could make it haraam...

oh and much appreciation to those who respected that other posters Question.

To the best of my knowlage hemp protein is halaal and is quite cheap, however it taste like crap :sick:

thanks so much for the concern.. i really appreciate it, but nutritech WHEY is halaal suitable. i love that whey.. the best ever.. it currently is the only supplement im using together with some of usn micronized monohydrate (best creatine ive used - even tho its a shit brand)

well i buy supplement factories whey concentrate(unflavoured) and mix it with my nutritech..

Kindly advise as to what these haraam flavourings and colourants are?

One colorant that I'm aware off is Carmine. You can google the E code. It's a reddish dye made from crushed beetle shells. It's a more expensive colorant and you'll find it in the higher end products. You also find this a lot in ladies make up as well.

Yeah I'm also very much concerned especially when it comes to the capsules. What about pre workouts?

You guys are bringing up a thread from 2014. I don't even think zulfi is on the forum anymore. The easiest way to find out if your supplements are halaal is email or call the manufacturer directly. I did this with USN once but they generally do have thier products halaal certified and does have a stamp on containers(well I remember the whey did, stand to be corrected)...
