All you really need is Whey. That's all I'm using at the moment, no Bcaa glutamine or anything else.

Theres nothing wrong with supplement factory, i use them once in awhile and have had no problems.

Just me 2c but as a student, I'd just get some whey, dextrose and creatine mono

Agree all you really need is a Whey (and even this you could get by without) the rest of the things are "nice to haves"

Personally I like SSN`s whey although not the cheapest you can get, do some math and work out cost per servings and also % protein per serving, at the end of the day you're buying a protein for exactly that, not flavoring and fillers.

Last thing if budget is tight on all fronts consider this, 1 tub of Whey is roughly 8KG`s worth of chicken breast, that's 266 grams (raw weight a day)

Rather make sure you`re eating whole foods where possible and not skimping on this front to buy supps.

Supplements are just that. Something to take when food is not an option at that time.

I stopped taking supplements in totallity for a month and it made no difference in weight gain or weight loss. Yes it has added benefits but nothing beats food.

But if you really want to take something, a protein powder is all you really need.

Creatine Mono, BCAA's, Dextrose and Caffeine are all dirt cheap and very effective supplements. Get them from BSSA to help you save some more.

I agree with the guys here....creatine mono and whey protein is king.rather save your money and buy decent food ...tuna and chicken breasts are relatively cheap and great protein sources.....and as a student the less Black label you drink the more money you have for that;)

if everything in the world made sense, life would be senseless.

I think you have been presented with some solid information and advise here.

I think the most important thing is your diet, nothing is going to replace a good diet. At 19 I picked up 10kg over a year moving from 83 kg to 93kg no supplements and at sub 10% bodyfat just by cleaning my diet up and training like a machine. * I was a competitive athlete and switched codes.

Dependent on your goals I would list the basic supplements as follows : 1. Whey 2. Creatine Mono of course you can add others as you see fit. wishing you well with your progress.
