Anyone have experience with modafinil for cognitive effects?

I used provigil for along time, but the price of over 2k for 200mg a month didn't warrant its effects. I personally don't like things that play around with histamine and mainly norepinephrine. I don't think it made much different, a good night sleep does more for me than that drug. Maybe you have different experiences, I've read all these great reviews people have with it but I've yet to experience any of them.

Yes, I used this in 2016 and I am pretty convinced that it has left me with lowered serotonin levels. Potentially long term side effect, i did use it for the better part of 9 months, and then eventually burnt out and crashed.

Anything else you guys recommend for cognitive benefits thats on the safe side?

Modafinil is awesome.
I would not suggest taking it daily or for weeks on end.
But compared to the amphetamines, it is much less mild and can used appropriately is not harmful.

Provided you can get it....

Its back in the country as of the beginning of the year or last year, can't remember, after the long court battle.
