Liver Supplements

Hey guys,

Besides reducing alcohol intake and milk thistle, what other supplements are effective for liver health? And is there a difference in what you take off and on a cycle?

I use NAC year round. I also add in Tudca when using oral anabolics. A cheaper alternative would be Liv52, but I'm not sure about it's efficacy. Personally, I don't like it.

Something often overlooked is OTC painkillers effects on the liver. I would avoid, Paracetamol, Tylenol, ibuprofen etc.

I don't include milk thistle but I'd guess it wouldn't hurt. I've seen a lot of conflicting data on it though.

If you're familiar with this site, I see Cycle Repair Tudca is a newly listed product that's available. I'd give that a go if I were you.

If you are on any strong hepatoxic drugs such as Tren,Sdrol,Adrol etc etc I wouldn't advise anyone to drink even a drop of alcohol.

NAC is king for liver in South Africa, commonly known as ACC200. I drink this daily cause heavy lifting does put strain on one's liver. I feel like everyone in BB should be using ACC200 daily, with high dose Vitamin D3 for bones.

Add in NAC to up till even at 1g dose if u feel like u might have liver issues.

Sheesh, didnt know acc active ingredient was NAC!!

No. Take the capsules, way more cost effective, especially if you want 1200mg+.

NAC is your bread and butter, there is a new product in South Africa called liver balance, this includes NAC and some other helping bits (milk thistle, kudzu extract, dandelion extract, green tea extract, vitamin b1, alpha lipoic acid and vitamin e).

I was on NAC 2000mg a day and my endo told me about this product coming out and has now moved me to it.

i am a huge TUDCA fan for me this works very well taking with oral anabolic.

US is clamping down on NAC supplements and it will be regulated tightly soon due to some of it's effects on covid. You might have heard this on MPMD already. I'm sure supply will decrease in SA as well.

It might, the whole NAC saga is covid yes and also due to them stating it was first issued as a drug. Either way I get my supply from the pharmacy, if liver balance goes off the market I'll still be able to get the compounded form as per my script, but we will see it vanish out the supplements, very lame. It's literally the only 'supplement' my wife's Dr let's her take while pregnant, yet we have the FDA clamping down on it, ridiculous.
