Pre Workout was created by D-Man
Good Day Fellas,

Other than improving energy levels and 'enhancing perfomance", is there a need for a pre workout drink? is it beneficial to muscle gains? Wouldn't one rather spend the R200 on lets say eggs, since protein is more important for muscle growth?

Let's say you can actually put everything in your sessions without the whole "delay fatigue" or "strength gains" preworkouts apparently help with, surely it would be a waste of money - talking purely muscle growth and gains.

Cheers.

It's all in the mind. ZERO benefit for gains. What I take pre/intra workout is BCAA and maybe supps to boost the pump, just because it feels good. BCAA's do help with recovery if I am close to overtraining. Once you're used to the high caffeine in pre-workout its hard to adjust to training without it.  All the other nonsense is marketing bullshit. Rather buy supplements that that actually optimise muscle growth or some real food.

I think boils down to the individual. If you have the mindset and can train without the pre-workout, better. Personally, I need a good pre-workout with a nice kick and good pump...liking these ones that have strong Stims and cialis mixed up in the pump formula part of it....or sometimes I just use a strong stim pre-workout and add a 5mg cialis. Getting old, hard to be motivated to train these days. Life....

A great homemade pre-workout going back years and years is
200mg caffeine
1-3g of L-tyrosine
5-10mg of sugar.

L-tyrosine is pretty useless by itself, but the caffeine makes it active. That combo does a fantastic job, I have seen 130kg powerlifters vibrating on that combo using 3g of L-tyrosine pre-meet that was being tested.

If you want pump factor, which most guys do, use 5mg of cialis daily, has great effects on pump but also helps with keeping blood pressure under control.

if you feel wired and anxious from the combo above you can add in 200mg L-Theanine. does help with that anxiety that comes from it.

Thanks a lot fellas, yeah I feel motivated and can push through all my workouts without the needed energy boost, was wondering purely for muscle growth purposes if there's any real benefits. I'll just use the extra pre workour funds for food. Appreciated

The only time I use Preworkout is if I have a really rough morning and I need to do some cardio
Stuff wears off after I get going, its just the boost

Gainz and strength? Drink some coffee
