look anyways everyone has gone off topic here apart from ogre and it is one of the rules of the forum...

personally i like war's array of flavours. its so much better than a choc mint that doesnt really taste grand when u get to the end of the 2 kg tub,the strawberry that tastes rancid and the cookies and cream which tastes more or less exactly like a slightly sweeter vanilla flavor. also does SSN use sucralose as a sweetner? if not thats where the extra cost comes in.

Personally, I prefer SSN and well I have not used war supplements but due to the SSN blokes being quite honest, I see that as a little extra value in there, like for instance, when they asked about which is the best creatine to use, you would 99.9% of the time hear "its monohydrate as none of the others have conclusivly been proven to be more effective" So i like the fact that they not gonna bullshit you into buying make believe wonder products...

DJ they do use sucralose as a sweetner. agreed on the choc/mint. but other flavours appeal to my taste buds;)

i read that article by will brink and he was completely correct about it,WMS doesnt spike insulin levels so its not very effective in replenishing glycogen stores.he went on to say that it is not the same as vitargo and the emptying of the stomach quicker is a load of tripe compared to vitargo and dextrose/maltodextrin base... people who ride on WMS being the same as vitargo have not done the reading and the studies to claim this

one of the reason we use sucralose is cause consumers are so obessed with the fact that you going to die if you use aspartame but they'll drink liters of coke and smoke boxes of cigarettes and drink alchol by the galons and that wont kill you....

yes dont u know that everyone has that at as a valid point?? look i think that sandwich wrap has got more adverse effect that aspartame, they have done research and plastic wrap can cause infretiliy in males and raise their estrogen levels yet we use it daily, but aspartame is the devil.

all i want to say that both war and ssn are good brands.

if sparky is so opposed to any other brand than ssn or sps he surely must have good reason. if he does not have good reason he would be an idiot. putting war with usn is really something that does not make sense, war offers great value, provide their lab reports on requests and offer a double your money back warranty. so on that basis i am happy

regarding the whey math:

SSN - r339 - 67 servings x 22.5gm protein per serving = 0.225 cent per gram of protein (1507.5gm protein per tub)
WAR - r399 - 80 servings x 20 gm protein per serving = 0.24 cent per serving of protein (1600 gm protein per tub) (but you get 7 flavours)

worked back - if ssn sold for same price as they do now but at war's % whey concentrate, ssn would cost r 359. so they would still be cheaper - r40. - but you only have 3 flavours (and everyone agrees war's flavours are very good)

this doesnt mean i pick war, but i dont think they are that more expensive....i dont always base my decision on price only. if you only look at price then usn is our best bet!

Ive Tried the War 2kg Whey Protein before and cant complain about them..You get and unflavoured version as well which sells for about R340 for 2kg which isnt too bad i think. SSN stuff is also pretty good...not a great fan of USN Whey though but thats just my personal opinion. In the end its basically about getting the protein in...Best way is to try the brands and see what works for you and what fits your pocket as well.

If you dont know...ask
