Rip off’s or not? was created by Luther
Hi, just a question;

Are ANY of these supplements FDA approved or have ANY of these supplements gone through official clinical medical trials?
Here’s just a short example list of products/ingredients that are flaunted in the media:
6-Bromo-ADE
naNO VAPOR
17 Testo Methox
Nitro X Voltage
Phedra-Cut Thermo XT
…there are thousands of products and ingredients that I could list here….

AND of course, don’t forget the “before and after pics” - anybody that seriously thinks that 99% of those before and after results can really be obtained in 9 – 12 weeks with only using USN or EAS products, must also have their heads examined. Furthermore, when are the advertising standards board gonna clamp down on these false advertising? What about the medical / medicines control board?
There are millions of people that see these advertisements and believe that by using product XYZ they will achieve the results advertised. Isn’t that fraud?

…yes, you can achieve those kinds of results in those time periods, but not without using juice, and a lot of it too!

Would like to hear your opinions.

Nope they haven't ,,, if they had gone through clinical medical trials they would be Medicine - Not Supplements

There is no control over supplements in south africa ,, in the USA there is some control,,, but not much -- basically in the US they just check that it contains what the label says,,, although there has been a lot of talk about them passing new laws limiting the claims that can be made

IMO the only supplements that WORK are protein /MRP --to supplement your nutrition,, and creatine --- the rest are all bull

If it's not working,,, take double,,,

Batman, yes - i agree with you, protein and creatine yes - i also believe in supplementing with multi vits (B12 & B-Complex 2ml each per week)...

I suppose we can take this further and take a protein supplement as example; what kinds of protein does product X contain? On the label it says A, B and C but is this checked (in SA)? Are the quantities and quality checked and verified?

...is the majority of the population that naive and dumb that they believe all the advertisements with before and after photos? Do they believe all this sales bullsh*t : “extreme anabolic effect”, “super thermonuclear effect” etc??

Sadly, I have friends that are serious juice users and have been doing weight training for in excess of 20 years…. And they believe these advertisements!! …they see the pic of some HUGE bodybuilder holding a bottle of WHATEVER and they go and buy it because it says on the label it contains ‘horny goat weed’ that will make you burn fat and also essence of wild potato that will make your d*ck grow… where are the SABS and advertising standards board’s ppl?

Am I wrong, have I missed the point/plot?

To answer your question ,,, in South Africa -- Nobody checks,, there is no form of control,, it is Totally unregulated ,, you can put Nesquick in a bag and call it Whey Protein and no-one will check

the thing is We want to believe those ads,, we want that magic pill / powder / whatever that is going to give us the edge

The advertising standards board only gets involved if there is a complaint

If it's not working,,, take double,,,
