Casein was created by LSJ
When making a casein-based drink before bed-time with whey proteien does it make a differance whether you use yoghurt or cottage cheese?

Thanx djeasye, think I will take my chances with the yoghurt. More flavours! Will however try to get the plain purist type.

you can try it out,i would personally opt for the less carbohydrate option as you dont wanna consume to many carbs pre sleep,if u think about it carbs are energy, why do u need energy whilst u sleeping?hmmmmmmm....... yes yoghurt has more flavours but why not just get another flavour whey protein? even if u find something really nice such as SSN cookies and cream whey with cottage cheese honestly is the ducks nuts, so if u like why not keep that cool flavour for when u want a seriously tasty treat? think of it as 1 special meal a day...i would say cheat but its all good for you so it cant be cheating ;)

If you buy yoghurt it costs about R10 a litre for pure unsweetened, unflavoured type. (Which I suspect got less artificial crap in it?) Cottage cheese in my area is about R27 for 300gram, making it a tad expensive for daily consumption. (For me anyway)

Will take the advice and try getting a nice flavoured whey shake. Just maybe spend 7minutes extra on treadmill!!

On the topic of Whey proteien - is there a huge differance between manufacturers or not really? (with regards to quality)

I eat about 8 "snackwiches" a day with peanut butter. Use Pro Vita type snackers...
