Milk Thistle vs Essentiale?

Ok so both are for the liver... Is the one better than the other in certain circumstances? (ie before cycle, on cycle, post cycle?) or is it better to take both? what do you guys prefer? thanks!

Hmmm ha ha i will just tell you what i do, no real science behind it just do it and it seems to work>

Off cycle i just take 1 milk thistle a day- the box prescribes 2. So under the normal dose. Then if iam having a few whisky's i will pop an essentaile over and above that before i start my fun session+

On cycle i stick to the 1 a day unless i am taking orals in which case i bump up to 2. Try to stay away from the dop but if i do end up going for a few then i throw the essentiale in at the time again+

I use:
-The original essentiale in the orange box
-Naturelle milk thislte

I use Legalon one a day when I'm off cycle and two when I'm on cycle. Plus I also take two milk thistle and if I remember to buy it I will also take some Essentiale.

You'll never go wrong if you ask your doc for legalon. Will sort you out no problem.

o ok so you basically just use milk thistle at a higher dose while on a cycle with orals and the essentiale only for when you cant contain your inner alchy! :laugh: thanx moose!

They call it preventative maintenance.

Legalon - 2 in morning and another 2 at night. 2 Milk thistle at lunch.

My medical aid only pays for two a day that's why I only take two.

I get 100 every month - 25 days. They dont mind if i pick it up early and have always paid. Probably overkill fo most, but i was quite a heavy drinker in my youth so no more kamikaze behaviour.

Say i get a perscription for legalon but prefer to pay cash for it at pharmacy. Do you guys know what the cost is?

What about the effects of liver supplements on the absorption or effectiveness of orals? Apparently milk thistle affects gains negatively?
