Hi all ;)

Can anyone please advise me on how I can import supplements from overseas, without it getting stuck or confiscated by customs!

I heard that you need certain "harmony codes" which will enable your goods to pass customs without being opened etc. Do any of the members know how this whole system works?

Thanx guys,

You run a risk. I have guys calling me all the time say they ordered products off BB.com and in never reached them. Then I know guys who order all the time. We have all the legal work and we still struggle sometimes.

I had a ton of Vitargo sit in customs for a month because they wanted to inspect it. The joke is they charge you for using their storage space!

Its up to you , If you buy a lot they will expect you to pay a duty on it.

What are you talking , 3 products or 1 ton of whey or a container of NO Explode? It all depends really...

I order from bb.com occasionally ,,,,, but it's in small amounts ,,, mainly a few cool shirts and wraps and stuff you don't see here,,, but some supps too,

Sometimes I have to pay in for Customs,, sometimes I don't ............ What I have learnt is ,,,, it seems to be more likely to get held up in customs if it is posted as opposed to Fedexed.

If it's not working,,, take double,,,

I did mention my other sport? Bisley shooting? Man, now that stuff is difficult to get imported. Here are a couple of methods that work:
- let your supplier mark your box with the words "contents of no commercial value/ or les than $25,00 worth" . You don't pay import duties on less than $25,00.....
- or contents are of no commercial value/for experimentational purposes.

Brought in a lot of stuff in this way. Bought a telescope of R15 000 a while back - paid R25 duties on it...
Sometimes you are lucky, sometimes not. Got caught out once - had to pay 25% duties AND another 25% Penalty!!! That was a bit of a bomber....
