hi guys, have any of you used beta alanine? Good or bad? How was the results/effects of it? When do you use it? Pre or post workout and how much? From what little i have read, it supposed to be better then creatine? And dosage is 5g before workout on empty tummy. Is that correct?

beta alanine works extremely well.

I use creatine X4 (USN). i know the CEE has been said not to work, but i take it for the beta alanine and taurine in it.

many people take it pre workout (roughly 5-10g). it helps you get that extra 2 or 3 reps. (extra reps = extra muscle)

Hi Wayne

I have used Beta Alanine from Supplements SA for a few months now as pre-workout booster.

They definately help me get those extra few reps out as I have tested this by not using it on some weight days.

Only downside I could say is that the product gives a weird feeling about 30 minutes after taking it, makes it feel like somethings moving under your skin, I get it in my face, arms back and sometimes legs. A few of my friends that ahve used it also experience this feeling, not sure which ingredient in the product does that as it releases, hehe.

i have not experienced that. Dunno why. Even with gaba, i dont get the tingling anymore, but used to when i first used it. I take a concoction of beta-alanine, creatine, arginine, glutimine and game before training, have not experienced that tingling! But noticed my recovery is much better and i get a decent pump...
