Imported Protein

I'm quite new to this, and I've recently bought Evox 5XL Muscle Meal. After buying it, someone told me that apparently all of the South African brands import their protein from China and that its dodgy, and that I should rather have gone for one of the American or European brands. Is this true? And what difference does this make? Any clarification would be great!

Dude its a load of shit, stop worrying. Nothing wrong with evox. And china is the source of many things and a large number of raws, but i dont think whey is one of them. China is known for its industry, not its dairy farms...

i would not pay the hi price for american supps,i can get them imported without paying tax on them so basically for half the price you pay here
i think ssn is good even sps,i personally dont like usn or biogen
but evox is ok bru,if your new to this then you going to have to go through all the motions and find out which brand you prefer and make your judgments on the ethnicity of certain brands,try not get sucked in by misleading marketing campaigns,nothing will make you grow like good food and hard work,then comes steroids at a much later stage,iv been training hard and eating well for 4 years and still growing

I'm pretty sure that the local brands get their whey from local dairy farms and I doubt anyone imports milk products from china anymore ever since the tainted milk scandal broke. Creatine and other such raws are probably imported from china though...

What are youre guys thought's on supplements S.A. super whey.

Never used it, doubt it has anything magic in it.. I personally think supplements are a huge waste of money and do pretty much jack shit..

Ja, its important to supplement protein if you don't consume enough with food and maybe glutamine, other than that a multi vitamin is all you need.

For me I use whey post workout and at night , when I wake up and before I go to bed.

And all those other times when it's just impossible to eat a meal,and time is of the essence like at meetings/University lectures/tuts.
