Hey guys,

Got a kwik question, can BCAA's taken during the day along with water? My gym buddy takes Scivation daily. he drinks it like every few hrs.
And after gym with his shake aswell.

Mustnt it just be taken after workouts? As a revovery supp?

Just curious at all :unsure:

There is no reason not to take it during the day.

Have 10g before your workout with your preworkout and 10g afterwards with your shake.

Give it a shot, you're only TESTing it...

here's something i found

To maximize the various anabolic effects of BCAA's and glutamine it is essential that adequate dosages are used. Although dosages as low as 3 grams/day have shown benefit, studies involving BCAA usage show dramatic benefits when using approximately 9 grams per 100 pounds lean bodyweight per day. Further results may be obtained during strenuous training or dieting periods, or for a real anabolic kick, by using BCAA dosages as high as .44 g BCAA per kg of lean bodyweight. To use this formula simply deduct your body fat in pounds from your total weight then divide this number by 2.2 to get kg. Next multiply by .44 g to get the dosage. So a 220 lb individual with 10% body fat would use this formula:

220 lbs (total weight) - 20 lbs (body fat in lbs)= 200 lbs / 2.2= 90.91 kg (weight in kg) X .44g = 40 grams BCAA per day.

But it also depends how much ur budget will alow.

And 20g during the day.

Reasons i brought this up is,
Wont it be expensive if u drink it during the day? Overtime it can become a bit pricey. :blink:

I told my bud to try SSN BCAA, the orange one. I said its cheaper and prob will do the same as Xtend.
But i guess he to inlove with Xtend :silly:

if you are getting enought protein in your diet u dont need bcaas' thats all proteins are,branch chain amino acids,if u are taking whey u are getting enought of them as is... its just more expensive to use bcaa's. and if u are having anything less than 40g a serving u wasting your time... i have 40g bcaa's and glucose and creatine post work out as i dont use whey at all...so i need the faster proteins... where as if i was using whey i wouldnt use them at all...

i like to vomit when i eat ;) just kidding...

i have a wheat and diary allergy,find i become very mucotic when using whey from the lactose in it... so i stick to whole food, 3 chicken meals a day,2 steak and egg meals a day and 2 fish meals a day and my BCAA shake...

Jeeeeez, DJ, how do you manage 3 chicken meals a day?! I have 1-2 every single day and needless to say I'm getting quite gatvol of chicken breasts! Been eating tuna every day for the past 3 years as well, but I suppose you switch off your mind to the taste and just enjoy it for what it does to your gains! haha

I really like BCAA when dieting as I'm trying to minimise muscle loss around my cardio sessions.

I would typically take 5g Pre + Post Morning Cardio.

And 10g after my evening training session, after which I do another 15-30 mins low intensity cardio.
