BCAA mixed in to Protein Powder was created by Ondier
Hi Guys

I want to mix BCAA ( L Leucine, Iso Leucine and L Valine ) and L Glutamine in to a 50 / 50 Whey protein isolate and concentrate blend. Any ideas on ratio's for the Amino Acids?

Will it be ok to take in all of the above BCAAs with every protein shake you take?

Thanks brothers

Whey has BCAA's in it.. I only use BCAA's during workouts and before to sip on.

To you it may look like I just did a push-up... But in fact, I just bench-pressed the world.

Agree with Chapel on this.

I take BCAA for semi fasted cardio in the am, then pre/during and post workout.

The rest of my shakes if I have any are just standard, I rather get my protein in from whole foods.

As for ratio I most go for 2:1:1 but I know of several who swear by going heavier on the Leucine and use a 4:1:1 ratio.

Thanks DC.

I kept the BCAA out of the protein mix and using it on its own.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but would it be beneficial to have BCAA on it's own before a slow cardio session in the morning?

Definitely :)

Every exercise is catabolic in nature, even steady state cardio. Get the BCAA's in to help preserve muscle mass and let the fat burn.
