Pre-workout supps seem to be the hot topic right now, but rather than hijack someone else's topic, I thought I'd start my own.

I've tried both Jack3d and Ganic-F, and without fail, about two hours after my workout, I am so tired that I can hardly keep my eyes open. It really hits me hard. Has anyone else experienced this, or could it be related to the keto diet I'm following, rather than the PWO supps?

Hey mate. I think its a bit of both but more the keto diet. I used ganic for a while and also felt dead tired after. Keep in mind u are pushing harder, more intensity during ur workout so u are expending more energy and fatigued ur muscles more. And then u throw in the keto...no carbs for energy so an even bigger dip! I could barely get out of the bath on keto and ganic as I was so comfy and just wanted to fall asleep. Lol

Yeah. It might also be the high levels of caffeine - I've got ADD, and stimulants make me drowsy.

I crash very badly, even as bad as being  halfway through my training.
Not to name bash but the Evox Muscle 'something' was the worst.

Since being on natural foods and a natural preworkout as per DJ, I've never crashed since?

To me the PWO delivers so much stimulants, your body sometimes can't handle it all..

Hey Bud, I have no issues just eating it....sometimes just plain with no sweetner.
Cook it in the microwave and chow it, then chow the raisins.

I don't have any issues, just chow it like a meal...

Pumped have you tried mixing your oats and whey together? Just make sure the oats isn't hot and you should be good to go

Sorry guys Apparently it is true, cause its happened to certain people already, so I’m not taking any chances !!

Personally I found this to be very chunky, not so much drinkable...

Also try some honey or sweetner.

Yes I have deadgoat it's not that nice and it tastes like sawdust. It's hard to get down drinking wise.
What flavour of whey protein do you use deadgoat when mixing it with oats?

True, had to add a lot of sugar to it otherwise it wasn't palatable at all (and for those of you who frown upon sugar the oats will make its GI inconsequential so you can add as much as you like)

The flavour doesn't matter as you won't be able to taste it, but I've used chocolate in the past. If you don't give a crap about the taste its a very effective whey (intentional, aren't I clever) of getting it down

Lol you're doing it wrong, whey protein de-natures at high temperatures so essentially you've been mixing your oats with expensive flavoured baby formula

yes it does but your body still breaks it down into aminos and protein synthesis takes place.. it still works and i only use one scoop anyway ;) ontop of that medium temp water will make no difference at all (which is how i do it)

When it denatures it loses its structure and therefore can't conduct its function, so nope it doesn't work. Good thing you use medium temp water

Interesting. I halved the dosage, and it didn't hit me nearly as badly. Oh well - I guess as long as I manage to complete my workout, it doesn't really matter how I feel afterwards
