Newbie needs expert advice was created by Wimmas
Hi guys!

I've been in the gym for around two months now and my muscles are all feeling hard and a bit more shaped. I know that in the beginning where I am now one has to be patient. Like all the others out there I want muscle gain and not become fat so I'm very careful of what supplements I take.Currently I use basicsupplements whey concentrate and Nitro Gen-X for energy, that's it.

A friend of mine said I should use dianabol but I did some research and saw that is a steriod. Apparantly most big guys in the gym use dianobol and it's been around for ages and is quite "Safe", but I'm still skeptical? Any information about this oral steriod?

I also discovered a website that sells Dbol-X and it's apparantly not a steriod. Here's a link www.********.co.za What's your opnion on this and will it make me fat?

I need to lose about 4-6kg's of fat but most people tell me my body fat is fine, I tend to disagree.

Please advice and help me on good, safe supplements that aren't too expensive and will give me a bit more muscle. I just want a good shaped body, I don't wanna be the biggest guy in the gym or be a heavy weight lifter if you know what I mean?

Thanks

Dbol only is no good you will loose all gains aquired as most of it is water and fat. Firstly the key is the way you eat go read through the dieting stikies on the forum. Stick around and read some of the older posts. Read the drug profiles. Learn learn learn. When you know what a proper cycle entails then post it up and we can guide you from there. Need to gym for at least two years naturally before thinking about a cycle but stay away from dbol only cycle. This is meant for frontload only

1) If used correctly steroids are safe
2) Never buy steroids from the internet. You will be scammed. Why buy dbol that isn't a steroid? Lol.
3) Never use dbol alone.
4) Supplements are shit.. Its all about diet. The only good supplements are BCAA's, whey, EFA's, creatin and dextrose basically.

You have to gym longer. You don't know your body well enough for steroids.
600mg primobolan and 300mg test weekly is pretty safe...

No typo. Only reason I wouldn't recommend the stuff in a beginners cycle is because its hard to come by, and a lot of fakes... Most noobs don't have access to it. Primo is shit safe bud... Even at 600mg. Without a spot on diet results at 600mg will be pathetic anyway.

Wow, just shows how little I know!

Is basicsupplements good? I like the fact that it is raw supplements. Maybe I should use creatine and dextrose? Is whey any good for muscle gains or a waste of my money? Oh and will dextrose make me fat?

I also need a good gym program cause mine currently is as follows:

Monday

Chest and triceps, 3-4 different exercises with 3-4 sets with 10 reps each

Tuesday

Shoulders and biceps, 3-4 different exercises with 3-4 sets with 10 reps each

Wednesday

Back and stomach

Thursday and friday I repeat monday and tuesday

Thing is I don't feel sore anymore the next day cause my body got used to it, so someone said I should go heavier with less reps

Any advice on a different program maybe (NOTE: I don't do legs cause God blessed me with natural good looking legs)

Search bssa. Also raw products sold by ondier. He is also on the forum. The prices are even lower. Whey works great for muscle gains with some dextrose and creatin post workout.

You should train legs bud.

Still need to train legs dude. Can you imagine how insane they'd look months/years down the line.
LOTS of people not blessed with good legs...so take advantage. People will envy you for it.

I agree with the guys...Good things take time. Diet is key.

Good luck.

I can maybe push legs into a Wednesday and Saterday!

But is working one muscle twice a week a good thing?

Does my program look okay for a beginner?

This Dbol-X you talk about is the biggest crap on the planet. It's not even a steroid, but some stupid product riding on the popularity of dianabol.

Here's a few pointers to get you started:

1)Train no more than four or five times a week.
2)Train for an hour max and do no more than 15 - 20 total sets per workout, 12 - 15 may often even be better.
3)Lift heavy and focus on basic compound exercises.
4)Utilize a multitude of rep ranges that target both slow and fast twitch muscle fibres to maximize muscle hypertrophy.
5)Change your routine from time to time.
6)Get sufficient sleep/rest, its when your body grows.
7)Maintain a healthy diet, eat veg and take your vitamins.

Try the following to begin:

Day 1 Chest and Triceps
Day 2 Quads and Hamstrings
Day 3 Rest
Day 4 Back and Calves
Day 5 Shoulders and Biceps

Good luck.

Ok, couple things here...

1. You dont need steroids at all, from what it seems your goals are just a decent diet and training routine will be sufficient.

2. Train legs, big or not. They are the largest muscle group in the body and the benefits from training them are endless... Increased testosterone production, strength increase overall, increased muscle mass and hence metabolism...

3. Basic supplements is great, the brand was started right here on this very forum. I've been using there stuff for a long time now and I've never had a complaint

4. Throw in some creatine, no harm in it, and it has been shown to be one of the most effective supplements available. Dextrose wont make you fat if used at the right time, post workout only, 60g with some whey

Um, but im scared of needles...

I totally agree, also love basic supplements. And I've read that Creatine combined with Dextrose gives great results. If there are so many benefits with training legs I will do so.

Another thing, I'm probably stupid saying this but it feels as though I should always do more reps and sets and train like at least 5 days a week but I see most people train a muscle once per week, seems so little.

And I've accepted the fact that I will have to be patient cause gaining muscle really takes long, six months to see results and around two years to really look good.

However though I really enjoy hitting the gym, it's great fun and a good stress relief from exams @ varsity

Thanks for the friendly, constructive advice. I appreciate that you okes didn't tune the k@k out of me ;)

No problem bro.

With regards to the reps thing and number of days, you just need to find what works for you...
Many guys believe in no more than 4 days a week, some do only 3... I personally train much more than this, 5-6 six times a week. As for hitting a body part more than once a week, again its a thing of preference, and sometimes you need to mix things up to keep your body guessing and growing.
For instance, Im currently following a routine that looks like this:
Mon: Squats and then chest, finished off with a tricep exercise
Tues: Calves (low rep, high weight) and then back, finished with a single bicep exercise sometimes
Wed: Legs (quads and hammies)
Thurs: Calves (high rep, low weight)and shoulders
Fri: Squats, and then arms (bi's and tri's)
Sat: Calves and hamstrings

Um, but im scared of needles...

Overtraining doesn't exist. Its called not enough rest + poor nutrition, if these are sorted you won't "overtrain". If not then German Volume Training and other high volume training systems wouldn't work

Sorry guys Apparently it is true, cause its happened to certain people already, so I’m not taking any chances !!

Eish!

Dont know how you do this. My muscles are sore and stiff for at least 5 days depending on the workout. I do Hammies on Monday and really have to stretch and warm them for quads on Wed.

@jakes, its more of a shock therapy than overtraining. My legs lag, so to get them to grow i need to punish them. I completely agree with deadgoat on this one, i listen to my body and if im feeing fatigued i take a days rest. I tend to recover fairly quickly anyway, and bear in mind that i am still on a gram of test enanthate per week so my recovery time is even better. I'll decrease the volume a bit when off cycle

@jackrabbit, now you're just showing your age ;) haha, no my legs hurt the first week of this, but then they settled into it. Back is the only thing that leaves me sore, those damn deadlifts

Um, but im scared of needles...

Yea I used to train 4 days a week and never had good results, then I started training 6 days a week and my body has definitely responded better, everyones body is different, its just a matter of figuring out what works best for you I believe.
