Hows ur diet for a start? If its not up to scratch u will suffer regardless of what u use. Maybe not exactly what you want to hear but thats my experience. Start simple with a decent whey powder ect. (stay away from usn whatever u do;) ) Thats my 2c!

email admin for the raw whey, that would be the best price!!
ur diet must first be 100%, thats the base, and hard training, eating every 6 times a day 3 of those can be whey shakes, a good multi vitamin and mineral, and at least 3 liters of water every day...

and like its said no usn, and i woul not trust this tap water anymore, next thing u have colera!!!

There's alot of good information on getting your diet in check on this and other forums. Just do a search. Get a good workout programme as well, not just something from a muscle mag. Focus on compound exercises like bench, squats, rows, military press, and pull ups. Make sure you get lots of sleep.
Eat, train, sleep, copy past copy past copy paste.

Once you've looked into that there's nothing wrong with using some supplements (don't really care what brand, go for whatever is cheapest at your local store).
Whey protein helps keep your protein intake up.
A multivitamin keeps you healthy during intense training.
Creatine is just about the only proven performance enhancer.

Start with these three supplements, that's all.

slippies, try this out, multivatamin,Gluatamine, Whey,Creatine and Some form of Simple Carb drink (vitargo <--- best but expensive. or glucose powder <--- cheap as chips and available as any chemist really) take 30g whey pre training, (this is of course i am assuming u are training during the evening and have had some carbs in your body) and then post work out mix 5-10g glutamine,5-10g creatine, 50g glucose powder and 60g whey protein) drink that within say 30mins of your work out and u should be good to go... remember u will need to be feeding constantly through the day as well so your diet must be good as this is essential..

Protein to build and maintain muscle growth and development.
Carbs is for all practical reasons the "fuel" ur body runs on so need it for any exercise.
Fat is ur reserves and no, you dont want a lot of reserves!
Thats a 3 sentance bio lesson, can be much more complicated but it should do for now! Google it if u have time, lots of info on web.

The "meat and potatoes" of basic supplements for the beginner(in order of importance):
- creatine(over 600 scientific studies to show that does work)
- glutamine
- good source of Whey protein.

Yes, fats are important for testosterone production, but specifically the plant steroles....

Knowledge is power!

Do you place creatine above whey only if the diet already contains adequate protein or always?
Also why do you rate glutamine so high?

One of my all time favourite supplements that I always suggest anyone use is Brach Chain Amino Acids or BCAA`s they are fantastic. 10-20grams before a workout and 10-20 grams post workout. This is a supplement that works. make sure you get a good quality one containing Leucine iso leucine and valine in a 2:1:1 ratio
