What to buy ? was created by BLaaR
I searched through the forum a bit and got a few answers to my questions but I was wondering...........I have about R.600 to fork out each month for suppl. etc. I have been training for about 6 months now and things seems to be at a stand still now. I am 1.86cm / 104kg ...... body fat, not sure. Never tested. Friend told me to look into protein, creatine and other stuff but I am not sure what to use. Reading through the posts I can clearly see USN is a big no ,no.

So, if you only have R.600 p/m you can spend on suppl. etc, what would it be ? (assuming your diet is right 40/40/20)

Well if you are getting enough protein form your diet then go for these first:
1kg creatine ~ R200.00
1kg leucine ~ R300.00
1kg glutamine~ R100.00
Total R600.00

Sorry if I offend you
Its just my point of view

for the creatine yeah go anywhere.

For aminos at that price you'll have to go to a pharmaceutical supplier

Thanks for all the replies.

I read that one should take creatine with grape juice........and not other cetric acid type of juices like orange juice...............

Now having to buy grape juice everyday is not fun on a already thin wallet.......so my question.........for the insulin spike can I just mix one or two table spoons of sugar with the creatine or are there any other cheap ways to go about this..........how about those packets of cool aid ?

If you're gonna use creatine, you may as well just spend the extra and buy something that has an insulin spike catalyst (sugar) in it. Mixing creatine is such a pants thing to have to do its so much easier if you can just pour powder with water without having to have some juice at hand....especically if you're loading cuz then 4 times a day or what ever it is becomes tedious....

I remember a few years back when I was using creatine, I bought grape jucie wholesale from makro and kept it in my boot...Jissus dude you have no idea how kak warm grape juice tastes and then you convince yourself or TRY to convince yourself that its for a good cause ha ha ha...

There are "no load required" creatines out there....ATP from MUSCLE MARKETING USA has a cherry flavoured product that takes a few drops under the tongue a few minutes before your workout....very good stuff. Not sure of availability in SA though.
