Training after surgery was created by Pixie
I'm probably going to have surgery in 2 weeks time on my wrist to fix an old pole dancing injury. Now my question is...........do I not do arms for 6 weeks or do I only do the one arm
Will discuss future usage with the surgeon next week and if it will interfere with gym training in the future then I might just give the surgery a skip.

You don't get it by wishing, staring, or hoping. You don't get it easy. You get it by working your ass off every single day.

Eish them naughty poles!

My suggestion would be to let the wrist heal completely, otherwise you risk injuring it again! The more you let it rest, the sooner you can use it again. I don't think you should train only one arm, in case it leads to creating an unbalanced look. Maybe try doing exercises that do not need weights in order to let the wrist heal.

Don't feel bad about taking an "arm-break". It's better to let it heal and come back banging when you're healed!

Good luck!

If you want something you've never had, then do something you've never done.

Rather just take the time off on the upper body and let your wrist heal properly, rather than risking the chance of injuring it even further. You can still do cardio and legs in the mean time.

Love the buuuuuuuuuuuuuurn!

 RVP! Use your imagination, don't want to ruin this nice ladies thread. I wanted to ask to but trying to behave with all this mention of pole dancing and banging. :woohoo: So... I am behaving.

Hope you come right Pixie.

Take the time off from doing anything that'll put your wrist under strain. Resting up for a bit is nothing when you consider that you might compromise functionality.

I took off a bit over a year and that was just for a tfcc injury.

You can still still train legs to an extent and do some cardio. As long as you keep in the swing of things you'll be good

  I was offered to do it professionally but turned that down. My man isn't into the pole dancing, stripping thing and has never seen me on the pole or interested in me showing him.

haha careful you dont hurt your hand as well playing around with it...

Pixie, get a wrist guard, apply some voltaren daily and rest it for 2 weeks. Concentrate on your core and legs in the meantime. This helped for me when I had a wrist injury, not sure how severe yours is tho

 good one RvP - haha careful you dont hurt your hand as well playing around with it...

I had it in a wrist guard and went for physio but it hasn't helped and the weight training just aggravated it.
