Fast concentric yep, but important to do a slower and controlled eccentric.

This isnt a new concept and have been used for years in the Dynamic Effort days while training using the West side program.

The basic underlying principle is Newtons 2nd principle: Force = Mass x Acceleration. The greater the force applied, the greater the gains (all else being equal). The idea of increasing the bar speed is without increasing the mass is to still apply lots of force but without frying your joints & CNS.
