Foam rolling was created by ShowOut
Hi guys

Anybody had success using a foam roller to either alleviate stiffness or even as a rehab tool?

Also those who have used one, when do you use it? Pre/post workout?

Have friends who are elite runners and absolutely swear by them.

Cheers

Thanks Oupa - Do you 'roll' the body part you have just worked? Or do you do a kind of full body 'roll' based on what feels tight at that moment?

No I roll the muscles that I worked, excluding arms. So basically, chest, abs, side lats, back, legs front and rear.

Perfect. Coming back from injury and hoping consistent rolling will help to prevent future muscle related injuries

You got to have stretch days/sessions in order to prevent injuries and the foam roller plays a big part in my stretching sessions.

Sore today, strong tomorrow!!!

Thanks guys. Will look to incorporate a stretch day as part of my routine.

Have had numerous sport related injuries (bicep tear, torn knee and ankle ligaments) and gym occasionally aggravates them often causing me to take a couple of days off here and there.

My physiotherapist had me buy one as part of my rehab for my ham tear, and im disciple of the foam roller now, similar routine to Oupa except that I use it even on my triceps at times.
