Shoulder injury was created by Travincal
Morning gents.
I need some advice.

In Dec 2016 I hurt my left shoulder on the machine bench press. I remember over extending on the left side. 6 months later, shoulder is still messed up. I've been treating it with ice post workout, diclofanac and Mybulin as per my GP. It hasn't worked.

It pains when training chest but especially when doing shoulders obviously. Initially I stopped weights for about a month and 6 months later, I'm push about 50% of what I use to. 2 days ago I did squats and now the shoulder is acting up again.

As stated above, the GP has been useless and I'm slacking on my results.

Could I possibly try treating it with starting a cycle of test? What else can I try?

Regards

Nothing. He said its most likely a sprain and recommended K-fanak for the inflammation. Its works great. But I cant keep on taking it forever.

No expert, but maybe get an accurate diagnosis, so you know what you're working with

!00% agree with Mack, see a biokineticist. If you can get to one of the guys that deals with the Pro rugby players will be first prize. THey'll give you a rehab program to work with. But know it may be a few months. Shoulders can be notoriously difficult to recuperate.

I hurt my shoulder in a freak tackle and it took me almost 1.5 years of rehab before I could load it heavy again.

Focus on mobility/flexibility exercises and if doing isolation exercises - low weights. No more than 6-8kg. They seem pretty tedious, but it takes time. Once you get mobility, flexibility and full range of motion back you can work on strength again. Tah will quicklyreturn.

If anti-inflammatories don't work after 5 days, then you have bigger problems.

Have you seen a physiotherapist? Have one loosen it up nicely for you. After a injury your muscles tend to cramp up to protect the injury and need loosen up.

If that don't word, you need to get a scan where they look at muscles and tendons. Quick fix might be a cortisone injection. If injury more serious, you can treat it with prp (blood doping) injections. It worked wonders for me in the past.

Goodluck

Sore today, strong tomorrow!!!
