MY strength / size raito is broken ???

Heya guys wanted to ask

Maybe a dumb question

Okay i am 183cm and im curently 74kg
Im 19 year old

I have been training for almost 2 years and 5 months

I know im light and things.

I was 50kg on the dot when i started. So its been a long journey for me im currently 14% body fat

What i want to ask.i get alot of people telling my that im strong my current stats are
These are my low rep maxes

Dumbell press flat 40kgs. X6 reps
Bench press. 105 x2 reps
Deadlift 120kg x1 rep
Shoulder press (dumbell) 34kg x6 reps
Squat 120kg x6 reps
Barbell row 80kg x6 reps
Tbar row 80kg. X10. Reps

Now people tell me that im very stong for my size im very skinny why am i not putting on size?

I have got a decent diet nothing bad at all

I have tried to cycle because of this issue (size) but was only on for about 2 weeks before i ran into issues

I also wanted to ask i got skrewed in the shoulder department and i really am struggling to develop my shoulders how should i train them more volume or more weight ? How many times. Per week ?

Hi, can you perhaps give a breakdown of your current diet? That way we can see what you mean by "decent". From personal experience i've seen most guys think their diet is good due to having cut out bad foods, however calories are never where they should be.

Strength wise you seem to be doing good. I had similar max weights while in high school and i was not huge at all. The body builders never believed i could lift the weight until i showed them. However my eating was way off compared to the guys in school who actually did bodybuilding. In hind site i can see why i never really grew. Even my body weight was the same when starting out and towards the end i remember weighing in at 72kg.

Keep in mind at your age your metabolism is quite high and everything you eat is being burnt with ease.

As for the cycles, stay away for now as your body is still developing and producing enough test. lets not mess around with your body just yet.

Hi i have. Around 100 to 130g protien a day. Not 100% but i dont really follow a strict diet on recently because i have IBS ( irritable bowl syndrome) that has developed since december

As for carbs and fat i have no idea

Do u think if i get a good died going ill see. The results im looking for. Will i pick up weight fast ?

Im very wary about picking up weight even with my 14-15% body fat my nipples are quite puffy


What do u recomend my protien intake should be ? Protein /carbs?

Oh and you should have seen my shoulders a few years back, tiny but strong. Now i battle to find my neck. :P

@ unknown, playing with your diet will definitely yield results. Not only for your bodyfat but also for your size. have a look at the dieting section and work out your BMR.

check the link below and you'll see doctari breaks it down nicely as to how you can work out what you need in terms of calories. work it out and if you do not gain anything then add a few more calories. I remember being able to eat anything and everything at that age without really picking up weight. Eventually an older man at the gym advised me to up my carb intake quite a bit as well to see increase in size. this will also include timing of meals/carbs to pre and post workout.

after reading that take a browse through the dieting section for other threads as well which are guaranteed to make a difference. after dieting is in place we can have a look at which supplements you are using and which could possibly be added.
