5x5 training and other day training was created by Dan not Stan
Hi mates

Just want to know on Monday, Wednesday and Friday I do 5x5 training. Can I do other exercises on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s? I probably can but what do you focus on then? Arms and legs?

5x5 training you can do every day no issues. It's strength training not hypertrophy training.

That can definitely work.

Try to structure a routine around heavy compound days and then accessory movements on the other days or smaller muscle groups.

Look for a real 5x5 program, there are so many, Mark Rippetoes/ICF's 5x5

But yeah, I'm a massive fan of 5x5 and doing other stuff on days you aren't doing the 5x5, focusing on biceps, calves, isolation movements etc etc.

But still keep it realistic, your body needs off/rest days. You can even do these accessory movements at the end of your session if you don't want to dedicate a full day to it. A lot of lifters have heavy days and 'volume' days where they're alternate between 5x5 and 12x3 assuming they train that muscle group twice a week.

I would go with Isolation movements on off days but keep it calm. Go with 2 exercises per body part and 4 sets max.

It is on you. It always has been...
