I am looking to loose mass as well as get lean.
In other words smaller and tighter.
What do you recommend?

Then let us be the judge of that. If you're doing enough cardio, and your diet is good, you shouldn't really be asking about losing mass and getting lean as it should be working. Post up your stats, current diet and cardio regime and we can help you out.

i do average of 300km's cycling a week, 50km's of running and about 15km's of swimming... I was born with out a thyroid gland which means I have to take eltroxin everyday.

I wouldnt say I diet, But i do watch what I eat.

What does your endocrinologist say? That's who you should chat to first. Do you not take T3 as well or just the eltroxin?

Bodybuilders use massive doses of steroids to what pro-cyclists use so be careful what advice you take. But no point doing steroids until you make sure you are supplementing the right amount of tertroxin and eltroxin for your body.

No I only take eltroxin. Which If I remember correctly is T2.

my diet:

Breakfast: 5 hand fulls of all bran

snack: 2 apples/kauai smoothie

lunch: tuna and boiled egg wrap x 2

snack: 2 rusks

supper: a full plate of food, a protein and veggies.

snack: yogurt

in the mornings and evening I take CLA as well as Omega 3 and mix glutamine into juice. On occasion i mix pure creatine in as well.

What is your age/weight/body fat%?

Do you have any results of thyroid hormone tests that you could post here? Endocrinologists are usually happy with results as long as they fall within the 'normal' range which can vary quite a bit. You might be at the lower end of that range in which case you would carry more body fat. Eltroxin is T4. Also If not enough of your eltroxin is being converted to T3 then you would struggle to lose weight no matter what your diet looks like.

There is your problem, you're under eating and not getting in solid carbs to carry that amount of training. I think it's best to have a chat with DJ, this will be the first stepping stone. I know you have thyroid problems but with the drugs you taking that should be operating properly and you train like a demond, so only one aspect left to sort out bud and that's the way you eat.
