Apple has iMessage and it works on all apple computers, iPads and iPhone 4's or newer. And it uses your phone number or apple id so no need to have a separate number like bbm.

blackberries are nothing more than an expensive instant messenger.cameras suck not just in the cheap models but all of them.they crash they glitch.bbm has a mind of its own I would kill to be able to use a Galaxy Note or phone on that level again.Speed,quality and reliability.

Android takes the win for me, not an apple fan at all!

Must admit, can't wait for the day my contract comes to an end. Will bring me great joy to through this phone against a wall. Problem is that our company server only supports blackberry. Im mailing this news to my boss in Europe. Everybody else in company wants to go over to iphone anyway

I have an iPad and a BB handset and the iPad format wins hands down. The only plus with BB is that data is basically free where with iPhone and iPad you pay for everything.

But yes, macs are the best.

I must say, my previous bb was the biggest load of shit (curve), but I rather like the 9900 bold I have now, iv never played with an iphone/ipad before, but for me all my mates have bbm so this suits my needs and networking, and I save huge as I don't make calls or sms's but ill be honest, only benefit really is bbm and free internet, not much else in terms of good apps an that

Yep thats true, although data packages are not so expensive these days. iOS is best in a household that has everything apple with the new icloud service. I have an iphone, wife has an iPhone and iPad and a macbook and apple tv. All our music, photos, apps, movies and series are synced across all devices which can stream to tv at any time.

iCloud is really awesome once you get to use it properly

+1 vega5 same setup. And even though data is 'free' when do you ever really sit and browse the web on a bb ? Id rather pay the premium and run ios gear (jailbroken off course ) yes you have free data and bbm, but theres whatsapp and free is a rather inappropriate description. Rather slow,unreliable,shaped and untehterable internet thats Pretty how much i see it

What do you guys who have iphones generally spend on data a month ?
I use operamini on my bb torch otherwise browsing is to slow. But browing is only at fast as the network coverage you have and often that it shit anyway.

You can get a 250MB data bundle from Vodacom for R99. That seems to be a bit sufficient depending on your data needs

I must say, in my normal daily activities and locations, I'm 90% of the time in full 3G , browsing is easy game, even downloads, music, videos etc, are generally quick, I never get annoyed with download times of pages and items if I can word it like that, I wonder if I'm the only happy bb'er haha :whistle:

I just added a 1GB data bundle to my account for the Iphone think its about a extra R200 but most of the data for apps and so forth comes off from wifi connection at work.

Had a BB 9700 Bold for the past 2 years. Not a single problem. First phone - EVER.
Now for upgrade..... Leaning towards Samsung Galaxy(?)

Galaxy s3 mate you wont be disappointed or go for iPhone 4S or perhaps htc oneX 2 android flavors but i rate the s3 will be the phone to beat

I loved my Bold 9700, and just love the Bold 9900.
I havn't had 1 single issue with either.

My plus point is that my accounts have dropped to half the cost with the 59 bucks free inet and bbm. This is not just talk, I have the statements to prove this.
I'm saving 1k - 2k a month, which is more bucks for food and juice... :woohoo:

Blackberry internet is a load of crap, I put my droid and my backberry next to each other, both in "3G" zones, the blackberry takes up to 10+ seconds to load a page were the droid is instant. I have a blackberry but bar it's BBM function it is a useless phone. I have the newest bold and it's crap. I've had blackberry for years now, back in the day when there was no MAPI, and other API's to Exchange it had its perks, but right now there is nothing it can do that a iPhone or Android can do better. Yes, the internet may have saved you money but what is the point if you can't open a webpage there is no Java support? End of the day Blackberry's time has been coming for ages now. I had the torch 1 what a pathetic phone, with that hardware and it was so laggy, OS 6 was the worst coded OS I have ever seen, OS 7 looks no different yet they won't provide updates for the phones saying their hardware wont support it, have you seen how basic and useless the blackberry UI is? If that code is that bulky that you can't run OS 7 on a Torch then you got to know its layers apon layers of shit code. I can't wait for the day they close their doors, they have promised for ages to intergrate into the google market / play store, which they have not done. Over the slow releases and bugs and lack of customization of these phones. RIP RIM.
