any doctors here? was created by GregB1
hi guys yesterday when i was at gym i could not do what i normally do even my cardio was only 20 min and i was flat out. when i got home i was shaking and dizzy and could not sleep at all last night. then this morning i felt shacky and dizzy and it felt as if a bus had hit me i felt mentally and physically drained . i also feel like im floating on a cloud( not on any drugs:) its just a wierd feelin) could it just be a virus or could it have something to do with the fact that i have been on ketogenic diet for the last 3.5 months.

YA buddy! strange shit happening around here. Went on keto a week ago. eating coconut oil and what not. same thing happened. did cardio. got pains in my back muscles and cramp. felt like i was deadlifting or something. I went to the doc. i got a really bad flu. looks like the new strain attacks silently. i was still fine the day before and did morning cardio and my evening training. had a frog in my keel.lol

if its flu, it might be that keto makes you vualnerable. although the fatty acid in coconut oil is anti viral!

Sounds like you "bonked". You might be dehydrated or your body suddenly ran out of fuel to support your training. Happened to me quit a bit when i use to do high volume cycling training. Passed out a few times because of it as well.

If its that bad then go to a real doctor bro. Self diagnosis on here isn't going to be very successful.

I'll put my money on that - Zero blood sugar.
Did you run your diet by DJ? How sure are you there is enough fat etc in there?

Yip I also think it might be the blood sugar, no need for slow cycling just do 40-60min slow walking and take Chromium Polynicotinate to stabilize blood sugar levels, but like MCJ said, rather go and see a real doctor. Good luck, hope your feeling better soon.

rather increase your vitamin c. then increase you iron intake. vitac will increase absorbtion of iron in your diet! try 3000mg a day atleast for a while. should work. vita c cured a lot of my common ailments.

People with a high activity level does seem to have low iron levels from time to time especially people who does endurence sports. Luckily its easy and cheap to get back on track. I like to take iron supplementation 2 x per year for about 1 month each time to keep it in check
