Computer repairs

Hi

I would like to get my computer repaired and need a new HD too.

Does anyone know a repair shop that I can take my pc to in joburg (pref Sandton area)

Whats exactly wrong with it ? Have you attempted troubleshooting yourself ? You can pickup a hdd(harddiskdrive) preferably from a wholesaler like esquire or rectron, if u must a online store like sybaritic dot co dot za or prophecy dot co dot za, if you must a retailer but know you are servicing overheads and will be paying considerably more.

Hope you dont need an IDE drive....

He will then need to just get a pci sata controller + the new drive, no worries

You okes lost me from the word IDE

I have tried myself but no luck.

I am taking it to a friend to have a look at and possibly install a new hd. Hopefully we can sort it out

Actually no, I'm in a really good mood, but I don't take kindly to spammers.

Anyway i agree with aspoester you are going to be charged for walking in the door, rather go to ur friend and if something needs replacing get it online i find the cheapest to be "rebeltech" prophecy was more expensive part for part when i built my pc in January but that might have changed by now...

Yo im a technician. Whats wrong with your pc? In most cases you dont need to take it in for repairs coz its all things you can do yourself maybe we can troubleshoot before you take it in.....
