So I bought a new family car seeing as my latest edition was born 2 months ago, got a Chevy Captiva 2.4 and with 2 kids and 2 huge prams you need space lmao.
Its actually a really nice addition next to my Mazda MPS.
So now the wifey wants tvs in there for the long road trips we make to durbs and cape town. (We have family there so we make a trip every month)
So I decided if she wants tv's then I will get sound, so I started shopping around, looked at kicker, JBL and Rockford.
The best package I found was from a rockford fosgate, and was wondering what you guys think of the package he set up for my captiva. I wanna know if it will blast or will it be average...
So here it is:
RF Prime Split system
RF Prime Coaxials
RF Punch T2 sub
RF Prime 400.4 Amp
RF Prime 500.1 Amp
Double Din Head unit JVC 810
2 headrest screens with own drivers(DVD Players)
Custom Fibreglass box
Please let me know if this is a good set up?!

sounds good. I would go pioneer over jvc head unit thoughBig Les wrote: The JVC has a 3volt output.
The amp is stable at 2ohms pushing 500rms. The sub is rated at 400rms. think it will be good.

DMZ wrote: My 2c, check out the quality of the shop's work, for a full system install they will be ripping apart most of the interior. Having installed my own systems and for mates, it is really hard to get the interior back together rattle free, takes a long time and effort. Maybe the more expensive guys could be worth it.
