Howsit Guys

So I bought a new family car seeing as my latest edition was born 2 months ago, got a Chevy Captiva 2.4 and with 2 kids and 2 huge prams you need space lmao.

Its actually a really nice addition next to my Mazda MPS.

So now the wifey wants tvs in there for the long road trips we make to durbs and cape town. (We have family there so we make a trip every month)

So I decided if she wants tv's then I will get sound, so I started shopping around, looked at kicker, JBL and Rockford.

The best package I found was from a rockford fosgate, and was wondering what you guys think of the package he set up for my captiva. I wanna know if it will blast or will it be average...

So here it is:
RF Prime Split system
RF Prime Coaxials
RF Punch T2 sub
RF Prime 400.4 Amp
RF Prime 500.1 Amp
Double Din Head unit JVC 810
2 headrest screens with own drivers(DVD Players)
Custom Fibreglass box

Please let me know if this is a good set up?!

The JVC has a 3volt output.

The amp is stable at 2ohms pushing 500rms. The sub is rated at 400rms. think it will be good.

My 2c, check out the quality of the shop's work, for a full system install they will be ripping apart most of the interior. Having installed my own systems and for mates, it is really hard to get the interior back together rattle free, takes a long time and effort. Maybe the more expensive guys could be worth it.

Hahaha lol I spend alot of time on the road so always wanted to get some ground pounding bass for my love of music just life never allowed lol cause I didnt wanna just put in any sound. I wanted a name I could trust.

So I hope this will make some real noise, but DJ dont worry my wife is very strict that noise isnt to loud when the kids are in the car, lol even with factory fitted rasio she doesnt let me turn it up...

Why is that?

The thing that I liked about the JVC is the fact that it has duel zone to seperate the tv screens from sound and allowing you to watch movies with IR headphone and letting me listen to music while I am driving..

Rockford is more for sound quality bro. If u want pounding bass then targa, starsound or pioneer at much less would kill rockford

Sound quality when we tested was by far better on the pioneer. It was on par with Alpine

I went to their shop and had a look at their work, honestly looks top notch in my opinion, saw a few vehicles they have done and them working on M3's, shelby GT's and mercs and I kinda felt out with My Chevy Captiva which is a far shot from the exclusive vehicles he was doing.

Fair enough, I want clarity obviously as per the reason for my choice, but at the same time I still wanna feel the bass, the change in airpressure as the notes drop down really low... Not looking for competition bass
