Cholesterol was created by Pyroclasm
About a year or two ago I had my cholesterol tested for free during health week at Shitoria East Hospital and they told me that my cholesterol is minus zero. Then right before my cycle which started 5 weeks ago I did the battery test and we found that my cholesterol was a bit high at 5.7. Now with my op I did another cholesterol test (blood tests this time) and the tests came back at 7.4 total, which consists of 0.7HDL and 6.7LDL! I am starting to go into a mild panic! What the hell is going on?! Please help! I should add that high cholesterol is everywhere in the family.

To be accurate your cholesterol needs to be tested after a fasted period of 8-12 hours, preferably first thing in the morning. That could be a factor? High doses of testosterone and most steroids will lower your HDL which could also be the culprit. My wife's family has high cholesterol which is genetic and even with a health freak diet my wife's is still over 5 without meds. Natural meds can bring it down quite a bit though though . That is an option. Up your omega3/fish oil intake and get a supplement like Chol-less-sterol which has lots of good stuff for sorting out your lipds.

Start taking niacin aka vitamin b3, get the no blush one from solal, throw some lecathin into your diet as well as the omega 3's, that should help even out your lipid profile, are u taking arimadex at all as that will kill your hdl.

@Muscleaddict: My cholesterol was tested the morning of my operation so it was fasted. You are right when you say that cholesterol is very genetic. I have the same frustration as your wife cause I really do live a healthy lifestyle. Everything started kakking when I stopped smoking and now that I stopped drinking it is even worse! Lesson?

@DJ: I am going to start injection vitamin B-Co will that be fine? I am not on Arimidex but what happens if I start to feel gyno symptoms and I need to use it? I don't wanna die from a heart attack at 23 I still have too many people to do! :(

Dischem sells some brand that had it in bottles. I don't remember the name but I bought some once. They usually stock it in a fridge near the supplement section.

That is made from seeds, you need Fish Oil, ON has the best ones as it does not come back up because capsules are enteric coated R260 at Chrome and Springbok

Chol-less-sterol is made by Holistix: www.holistix.co.za

If Dischem or Pick n Pay pharmacy is out of stock they will order it for you.
