Well... This is gonna be fun...
My crazy ass sister has roped me into swimming the midmar next year...
Hit the pool this morning at virgin and did around 30 laps... only another 30 something
before I can swim it it one go...

LOL!

Yeah... It's a good couple of months to prepare...
Plus I've been meaning to take up swimming again as some cardio, so this will be good motivation

The virgin active pool isn't too bad hey... I have no idea how cold the actual swim will be... but it's only next year sometime.

HEY YOUR GOING TO FREEZE MAN.

i did it once with a couple of mates. about 8 years ago. water is cold get a wetsuit or someting.

I use to do it every year! One word of advice. DONT go to a bar the night before..!
I did and started cotching :sick: in the dam after about 200m and had to be saved by the rescue boat.
Never again.

I am too stupid to get cold... lol...
Used to ride my motorbike 80km to work... in winter... :ohmy:
Then I did a spot of tar surfing in JHB cbd and the bike she is no more...

It should be ok unless of course my bf% drops by then...

I checked the pool temp this morning. 26 degrees.
Did 66 laps in around 50 mins... they recommend not entering if you can't do 1600m swim in a pool in under 50 mins... 1600m is 65 laps... so I am close... hehe
