Is it bad?
I must admit, this is my kryptonite. My wife and I have this once a month and I dont leave there until I ate my fill, pretty much end up rolling out theat place (all you can eat).

having anything in moderation isn't bad. stuffing your face once a month wont affect you negatively in any way. and to be honest theres worse things you could be pigging out on. sushi's a good source of protein, carbohydrates, and fat

I'm currently on keto... So go to ctfm and buy salmon steaks....a little wasabi and ginger, and go home... Make my own Sashimi once a week or so.

I also love sushi! There is a place in Durbanville at the tigervalley waterfront, Asian Asia, where you can eat bottomless sushi for R99 any day all day. I try not to go more than twice per month

Hmmm, never been there before. Think I should give it a try. I tried other places like CTFM,OB to name a few but always go back to Sake in Sable square. Their sushi is always fresh and waaay better than the other places. There all you can eat sushi is R135 PP everyday.

Do you guys know that sushi is actually not fresh? It is cured for 2-3 days then flash frozen to kill off all harmful bacteria.

They say that the 2-3 day cure is to develop the flavors and the freezing is at a very low temperature if i remember correctly its at -4o degrees witch kills off all bacteria. That does not put me off sushi i just cant stand the taste i have prepared it on a number of occasions and even prepared vegetarian sushi before.

There are other places with all you can eat sushi, there's blue marlin in Obs R99, ya its obs but whatever, there's one on Rondebosch main road which is like R89, there's a few in town.. But if you want the best sushi just go to half price sushi at salushi in Claremont and get the Bon Bon gifts, 9 in a portion and I normally get 3 portions and a hand roll and I'm done.

To you it may look like I just did a push-up... But in fact, I just bench-pressed the world.

I have never been to any of those places mentioned by Chapel. I also hear Tank's is a good place. My favourite place is Willoughby's in the V&A waterfront. The best sushi i have ever had. Bit pricey but really really good and they have some fine wines to go with it

If you guys are ever in Durban, go to this place called Bamboo Lounge. It's near Gateway Shopping Centre (in Umhlanga) if you're unfamiliar with the areas in Durban. It's near a place called The Village, so if you don't know where that is you can ask people for directions.

The place is my eating paradise (bear with me, I'm on a student budget haha). They have a special every day from 11am to 3pm, for R65 all-you-can-eat sushi! And every hour on the hour (ie: 11am > 12am > 1pm >2pm > 3pm) they have 10minute Sashimi (Tuna & Salmon mini-fillet) trains on the conveyor belt, which is how they serve their all-you-can-eat sushi.

They have a decent selection of sushi, well atleast it's enough selection to keep me happy. I seriously recommend you guys try it if you enjoy going all out on sushi. My bragging right is 40 plates, some plates have more than one piece on it.

I'd say the only downside about the place is the fact that drinks are expensive, but I just order tap water in any case, and the service is not of the greatest quality. But definitely go there if you're a sushi lover!

I stay in PTA an we have some nice sushi places here, but nothing comes close to Willoughby & Co at the V&A Waterfront! You know when you can just see everything is in a completely different class?

I live by the sea side and wow its bad. Wind is pumping so hard and I had a river running down the road. But lets not derail the thread.
