Black(Crap)Berry Service feedack

Hey guys

More and more ppl I come across are becoming increasingly agitated with CrapBerry. So I'm wondering is it a regional or national problem and what experiences are u currently having or friends of urs who have CrapBerries?

The browser is increasingly slow and errors when loading are common. I have also noticed that evenings especially are impossible to browse or even use the bbm function. I thought it was due to my location but even when I visit East London it is exactly the same.

Even sms' aren't that reliable. I smsd sumone this morning @ 6am and they replied at 6.05am but the message only delivered to me @ 5.30pm

Definitely doing the iPhone or Samsung thing next time round. What's the point having free unlimited downloads when u can't even browse the net successfully?

It's not just you having those issues, my friends with those crappy phones have the exact same problems. Especially those internet issues at night.

Bro I am not far behind you, I don't have too many issues with bbm not working but the phone itself is shit and browsing is way too slow.

Download load opera mini web browser it loads pages a lot faster, you can also reduce the quality of pictures loaded to speed it up. I use wifi where I can cause a slow phone plus shitty vodacom connection is hopeless.

Its not just you MCJ its all blackberries across the board. Obviously the more expensive devices give slightly less trouble than the curves and so on but they still give issues that are just not worth the free internet and BBM function.

BB is shit everywhere have not heard of one person happy with their phone. Samsung Galaxy S3 is the best at the moment and I doubt the Iphone 5 is going to be better.

Here is a tip and please respond if it work for you or not its very interesting. Everyone that owns a smart phone, doesn’t matter which brand has a problem with battery life! So try this. Go to your mobile settings and look for the Network mode setting. By default it’s on 2G and 3G. Switch off the 3G so that your smartphone only use the 2G band. What drains your battery is when the phones keeps on switching between 2G and 3G. It will be ‘n bit slower on BB but not much cause even when the device is on 3G its still shit. On Samsung the settings will be a bit different but you will find it and iphone has a setting to just switch off 3G. Your battery will at least last twice as long or longer.

There is plenty of apps available for android devices that can help extend battery life.

I don't understand why people still buy blackberries when iOS and android is way more advanced

I have the exact same problem with Internet speeds on my 9900, the only time i can browse at acceptable speeds is after 1am...

I read an article 2 weeks after i purchased my BB in Feb about how 5% of BB users were "abusing" the service so RIM were planning on capping 3G enabled devices to 3.3 megabytes a day! then once that limit is exceeded you phone would automatically default to EDGE speeds...

So this "unlimited Internet" is Total BS...

The other day at gym i saw almost all the people on bikes and treadmills bbming off their phones it was hilarious.

People are getting excited about the latest judgement in the apple vs everyone lawsuit. Apparently the judge granted in favour of apple this time. So people reckon this might be bberries saving grace... if it does go pear shaped for Samsung and they lose credibility then perhaps people will turn away from Android and back to crapberry or Nokia.

I am not giving up my Android device... plus I've just embarked on writing Android apps and hoping to start my own thing doing this full time... (Releasing the first app shortly.. wooohooo)

perfect timing, just got my S3 a couple of months ago

Blackberry will always be big in SA due to the BBM and the internet service they provide. Although the networks are going to start throttling users that exceed 100 Megs per month. Students love those fones as it is a cheaper alternative and they have access to the internet and whatever else they require for a minimal fee. Data is still too wxpensove for lower income people to consider other devices, so BB will always be top of mind in those brackets. Having said that, Blackberry is a shit fone BBM is its only upside. I convinced my wife to get a Galaxy S3 after having a BB for almost 2 years. She's had it for around 2 months now and she loves it. She cannot believe she stayed with BB for that long. The functionality and features available for Android and iPhone is way beyond the capabilities of any BB. Even if RIM do release the Blackberry 10, i donot see it coming close to the iPhone or Android devices. They launched the playbook and it was an epic fail.

Having a BB today is like being a smoker..... Awkward :lol: :lol:

Maybe the only thing that is still making Blackberry sell in SA is this free internet scam the service providers make people fall for.

Many people ask for my BBM number, but when I tell them I don't have BBM only iMessage you should see the confused look on their faces, shame...

I hope rim goes bust so bbm can die a painful death !!

It's come to a stage now were people ask for your BBM pin rather than your cell number

Purely because of the bbm that people still get this device, in south Africa out data charges are a complete rip off
