Knees was created by thePridge
My knees don't like supporting weight much... had issues with them while growing up...
So if I stand upright and start to squat down they start hurting before I get to 90 degrees...

They hurt on the inner side of the knee caps... both... and both click if I do go all the way down or climb stairs...

Any ideas?

They click too... and sometimes hurt a little... like a dull pain...
But I leg press with my toes touching the top of the pushing platform... so the angle is a bit different.

well i know a guy with killer quads. he doesnt do squats because he has a very bad lower back. he does 5 sets of leg press and id kill for his quads!

but i guess thats not going to help you if you cant do them properly either.

have you tried strapping your knees up?

Slightly off topic but any ideas how I can do leg press at home ? Can you buy a home machine for this?

I also struggle with my knees since my last cycle. It has improved to a level where i can do some leg training. Normal squats and leg press is way too painful. Leg extension also a no no. All i can seem to do currently is hack squads with feet high on plate and wide apart. I gradually increase weight and lately have done good progress with regards to deep/low repetitions and almost pain free workout

I have the exact same problem... I've found knee sleeves help significantly. Also, try using just the bar and going ATG ... It helped in my case.

Which sleeves did you use?

I'll prob have to start without the bar even...

I have bad knees and had re construction done on my 1 leg. I kinda ignored the pain and kept doing heavy leg press and squats, i used straps but my point is that it was a mistake, i should have just left it. I don't want to be the guy in the gym who doesn't do legs but walking when I'm older is more of a priority. My R0.02

I tried doing legs a few months ago, hoping the pain would go away. Needless to say 1 month after starting i couldn't walk down stairs. Its a great shame because i admire big large legs. Always wanted a pair :)

That's what I'm worried about... Going for surgery and then being told not to exercise legs ever again.

I wonder if advances in medical will save me in 20 years.

Its a tough choice. I prefer to walk around pain free. I have what some consider to be technology in my legs and truth be told its not making life any easier, but 20 years is a long time.

My discomfort is manageable... Except on flights, flew back to Cape Town on Sunday, and somehow ended up in a really crappy seat, couldn't straighten legs, couldn't stand, knees were sore till yesterday after that.
