Ok so I know I just bought the A5 and yes I am loving it but I really miss my GTI and my wife prefers a four door car because of the kids, now I am once again perplexed as to which vehicle to go for? Clearly I am a VW fan, in this price range of R250K what would you guys suggest?

Reason i bring this here is that thus far with the purchase of my Fortuner, A5 and even cellphone everyone gave such valid inputs I wound upo making the right decision, so please advise away.

Well, My friend had the .:R32, i absolutely loved the drive and handling of this car, totally amazing but the fuel economy was terrible even when driving miss daisy. he now has the G6 GTi and man on man, i'm inlove with this car. If i could afford it, i'd definitely opt for it. I feel the polo gti would be too small for you bud, so the G6 GTi would be your best choice.

dont go polo but go for the newest you can find,so if u can get a g6 gti thats 3 years old or a r32 thats 6 years old i would go golf 6. u can get decent a3 sportback 2.0t autos 2010 for that price

Definitely go for the G6 gti. The sound of the R32 is orgasmic though, but u will be disappointed with the performance if u are in the Highveld.

The Golf 6 GTI has much newer technology than the other cars you mentioned and you can really feel it when you drive in one so its definalty the best option but that’s just between those 3 cars. Have driven VW, Toyota and Audi then went to BMW and will never look back.

Enjoy the G6 GTI it is a nice car.

I was faced with a similar decsion when purchasing 2 years back and with the options mentioned if you can get a gti 6 in your budget , go for that .

At that price point I just feel the R32 while a bit of a legend is a bit too little and too old of a car .

Great choice KOE. The modding potential is awesome from the 35 edition up as they use the S3 setup which means bigger KO4 turbo vs KO3 on the normal gti. The R uses the EA113 from the g5 gti vs the G6 gti EA888 motor which is believed to be a stronger motor. Honestly bro u must do a software upgrade and u will see your beast come alive. Congrats and many happy miles
