Torah abiding christians

Anyone here ever heard of this? Wow I was shocked to hear the existence of this the other day, crazy stuff! A friend at work brought it to my attention as his wife and mother started to convert to this type of religious slavery! Luckily a few guys here at work had some wisdom for him! Was just wondering how widely this believe had spread?

Its not really a debate when they are wrong:p no just kidding, not here to argue, if there are any of the believe here and are offended by my choice of words I would gladly delete it! The topic is not pointed towords people partaking but rather just people that have heard about it.

Ha ha yes. Ok i edited my first post as to not sound so harsh or disrespectfull! but being a jew is being a jew and Christian a Christian, these torah following Christian are somewhere inbetween. They believe in Christ but still try and follow the torah. Very interesting topic. Well to me atleast:lol:

I do agree that most people tend to get out of hand once religious topics pop up, no one wants to feel offended blah blah ec ec! My gospel also tells me that people will not always like what they hear. So talking openly about religion, and not only my own, is and should be fine! Its only once the one tries to force his/her believes down someone else's throught that things go sour very fast! I started the topic out of interest, to see if lots of people heard about it, because I surely did not even know it existed!

It doesn't make sense... the torah is supposed to say "hey look... you can't get this right... you need Jesus"... then they believe in Jesus and the torah... meaning they believe Jesus isn't enough... they still need to "earn" their way into heaven...

i am not deeply religious! But i believe most religions if not all have been infiltrated and turned inside out to suit "man" eg. "king james" bible! How can that be right? Anything man made or altered can never be perfect! I believe the older the scripture, the closer to the holy prophets of god, the most truthful it will be! Thorah, bible, quran...i believe them all to be true(the 1st of them, none man altered)

secondly, i find it hard to swallow that if you do not believe a certain thing, ie. Jesus was crucified for you, You are damned to hell, etc. I know some ppl across all religious groups absolutely rotten and some absolutely saintly....further more, 99% of the time, you follow the religion of your fathers, you dont really have a choice, you been sorta brainwashed?

end of the day, heaven or hell, where you go is only by the will of god, just try to be a good person and hope its enough, regardless of your religion or faith, let god be your guide and see where it gets you! Respect one another!

This is where its important to really study the religion - Christianity is different to any other religion. I'm not here to give a sermon, but if you want a good reference (IMO) - MacArthur study Bible( www.gty.org ). Most Christians dont exactly understand why they believe in Jesus. There is plenty logical reasoning for all the Christian principles.

Weird right? Didn't make sence to me either, untlil they started quoting scripture in the old and new testimonies that basicly statets that if you believe in Jesus you will abide in the law(torah) now the problem comes in that the bible never really differentiate between torah meening the oral law, the 10 commandments, ceremonial law or the moral law as Jesus tought! But if you really understand the new testament and what Jesus did then its clear that Jesus added and took away from the torah(oral law) meening that it was never written in stone as the ten commandments were! Also Jesus said that he will write the law on our hearts, not to blindly follow some rule set.

If you want I can post some of their teachings- but I don't like spreading things like that around!

John MacArthur is my favorite bible teacher, sadly I fall horribly short of what true Christianity calls us to, this is a true man of God though.
