Hey guys.

I just came across this. An Adipotide was done last year on obese monkeys. In the first 4 weeks they dropped 11% bf.

It targets blood flow to unhealthy fat s.q and abdominal fat. When the cells die off they are reabsorbed by the liver.

Sadly, I couldn’t find the actual studies, only these articles:

I found this on side effects:

Safety risks associated with Adipotide?
At the moment, safety is the biggest concern. A few health complications were witnessed in a number of the test subjects, including dehydration, kidney lesions and an unexplained drop in potassium levels. Arap and other researchers realize that more research will need to be conducted before the drug will be able to satisfy FDA requirements. Yihai Cao, a microbiologist from Sweden is fascinated by the work. However, he cautions that researchers will need to be able to explain the way Adipotide creates weight loss and what side effects it will lead to.

It's primarily research for the fight against cancer though. Lets see what human trials show

Not to be a downer, but regarding the fight against cancer, maybe this will shed some light on the reality of cancer and cancer research:

it really is a sad reality.

most of those "articles" show that the main aim of the research is blood flow. without blood flow, cells can't grow and support themselves. also, they found that the vascular tissues are receptive to different peptide fragments so they're screening peptides. each bonds to very specific sites in the body. the first train of thought was cutting off blood supply to the prostate (study focuses on prostate cancer). now it's moved to getting rid of white fat - correlates to increased risk of prostate cancer. let's see how things pan out though since things don't always work out for some or other reason.

I remember a few years ago there was research being done using protons. not sure on the progress though. but instead of going in and bombarding the body and destroying many cells like with chemo, it had more accuracy. passing through the body, leaving other tissues relatively unharmed then "activating" in targeted cancer areas to destroy cells. But alas, haven't heard anything about that.

Let's hope for fat loss this has minimal side effects though.
